WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Danny Garcia (29-0, 17 KOs) will fight IBF champion Lamont Peterson (33-2-1, 17 KOs) on April 11 at a catch-weight of 143 pounds with no titles on the line.
This is a non-title bout because Garcia didn’t want to have to struggle to make the normal 140lb weight limit for a light welterweight title fight.

IBF middleweight champion Jermain Taylor’s title defence against Sergio Mora is off.
Taylor has been detained and questioned for discharging a firearm in Little Rock, Arkansas on Monday afternoon.
 The 36-year-old Taylor is being charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and possession of Marijuana. He stepped out of a vehicle and was handcuffed by the police.
The police were said to have removed a firearm from Taylor’s vehicle.

Unbeaten American Deontay Wilder, (33-0, 32 KOs) defeated Bermane Stiverne, (24-2-1, 21 KOs) by a lopsided unanimous decision to win the WBC heavyweight title on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Derry Mathews (36-9-2, 7 KOs)  will challenge WBA lightweight champion Richar Abril (19-3-1, 8 KOs) at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on March 6.
