BlizzCon: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Blizzcon has come and gone now for 2018 and while we are usually celebrating the awesomeness that is Blizzard, this year turned out a bit different. While some of the announcements still came as a huge surprise and welcome cheers of support by fans, Blizzard fell prey to some of the sad new rhetoric that surround our culture, as well as their own clandestine development messaging. We’ll call it the Immortal Blizzcon that no one will forget. If you have ever been to a show, you will know why.

Marvel Strike Force Dev Update #7: Too Much, Too Fast

Earlier this year Marvel Strike Force was moving at a breakneck pace, not giving players much chance to even prepare for all the things FoxNext was throwing at them, but the team appeared to heed the feedback from frustrated players and slow things down a bit. BlizzCon 2018 – Tempering Fan Expectations

BlizzCon 2018 will be kicking off in about 24-hours. The annual convention is usually chock-full of exciting news about Blizzard’s stable of games. This year, however, fans are confused. It’s filled with deep lore, satisfying combat and travel, loads of content, and a great narrative. Starlink: Battle for Atlas gets derailed a bit by repetition and an expensive monetization model, but the overall game is still a success and one that should be experienced.

Assassin?s Creed Odyssey: Nautical Nuggets

Red Thomas drops a few nautical nuggets for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players in this week’s column. There are plenty of general tips articles out there, but only one place you can go to learn how to more effectively control the high seas!

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Review – A Tremendous First Effort

I will not get tired of saying that the last couple of years have been golden for any fan of classic-inspired cRPGs, myself included. Between Obsidian’s Tyranny and PoE2: Deadfire and Larian’s Divinity 2: Original Sin, gamers were able to visit beautiful fantasy worlds and dive right into a variety of problems.
