We’ve got a fun new series kicking off today. We’ve asked each of the MMORPG.com writers to submit their favorite three MMOs. We start off with Tim Eisen’s and Kelley Kiwi’s choices. See if you agree!

For over thirty years the Bard has been regaling us with with tales of heroism and adventure. Once again adventurers are called upon to save Skara Brae and the land of Caith from evils past and present. Take up your lute, gather your party, and adventure forth, but don’t forget to grab a pint to whet your whistle whilst in the fray. This is our Bard’s Tale 4 review.

Immortal: Unchained should be a game that is everything I’d want: Dark Souls difficulty? Check. Guns? Check. Fantastic graphics? Check. But it was missing one thing for me that would have really brought everything home: a soul.

Chernobyl, the site of one of the worst nuclear catastrophes in all of human history. The reactor melted down and caused an area of about a thirty km radius to become highly irradiated, and is still that way today. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was one of 2017’s best Nintendo Switch RPGs, and today marks the launch of its first big “DLC”. I put that in quotes, because this sucker is basically a whole new prequel game to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It’s got dozens of hours of story filling in the history of the game, with familiar characters, and a refined battle and crafting system to boot. If you liked any of the Xenoblade games so far, you’re in for a treat.

Red Thomas attempted to introduce some of his nieces and nephews to gaming over the last week. Several have gotten old enough to understand how to play an MMO, so he decided to give it a rip starting with Final Fantasy XIV Online and then World of Warcraft. Which game did this favorite Uncle find most appealing to the kids?

Since last week’s favorite MMO abilities piece got some good responses, I thought it might be fun to flip the topic on its head. What are some of the worst abilities you’ve experienced in an MMO? This can be anything from stuff you thought sounded cool that just ended up being terrible, to abilities that were just oppressive, or my favorite, the noob traps.

Lara Croft is back for her third adventure since she was rebooted in 2013. That 2013 release didn’t initially click for me but after trying to start the game three times it ended up being the reason I bought an XBox One. Since then the Tomb Raider franchise has come to represent what can be so great about the action adventure and exploration genre.

After a couple of months away from the game it’s been nice to spend some time back in the world of Vermintide 2 specifically hacking and slashing my way through its latest DLC Shadows Over Bogenhafen. So grab that coffee, kick back and enjoy our review of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Shadows Over Bogenhafen, and yes I too notice how long that title is!
