– Resurrecting Warhammer Online

You can never go home again but in MMORPGs you can sometimes visit. I recently took a trip back to the year 2008 in Warhammer Return of Reckoning the fan made Warhammer Age of Reckoning emulator. Unsurprisingly a game that was full of mixed emotions upon its launch triggered another mixture of emotions upon its resurrection.

I don’t typically write about technology here at MMORPG.com, but I do like to follow it. CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is the E3 of the technology world and I look forward to it each year. There’s usually a lot of junk at CES, but the cool stuff tends to set the stage for what we can expect in technology for the year and offer some exciting hints for the future.

– What We Would Like to See from Anthem

EA’s looking to throw its hat into the ring this year with its own loot shooter called Anthem. The title is being developed by BioWare and looks to be an all hands on deck effort by the studio with EA vice president Patrick S�derlund describing the project as “the start of maybe a 10-year journey.” Can EA and BioWare pull it off with Anthem? I’ve got a couple of ideas for how I think the game can position itself to succeed.
