The latest Founders’ Update has been published on the Crowfall site to provide folks with a bit more information about the forthcoming introduction of the game’s premium currency. Called “Crowns”, the currency will be available starting at $5 for 500 Crowns and discounts for larger purchases. These funds can be used in the in-game shop, with no item costing over $200. All items currently at the $200+ mark will be retired at the end of 2017.

The Crowfall Founder’s Update for the week has been published that takes a look back at all that has been accomplished in 2017 as well as takes a peek ahead at what’s in store in the future. In addition, ArtCraft announced that it has secured another round of investment funding to bring an additional $6M to the company to “expand our game content, cover all launch expenses and to have enough funds to drive a respectable marketing campaign at launch.”

The Crowfall site has been updated with a note to Founders to inform them that the anticipated “soft launch” of the game, originally set for the end of 2017, is not going to happen. The letter speaks about how this has been a fantastic year of progress for Crowfall and that much has been accomplished. However, it is important to note that “progress isn’t the same as done”. With that in mind, the promise is to soft launch Crowfall as early in 2108 as possible.

Crowfall – ArtCraft Previews New Customization Options for Castles & Keeps
Artcraft has a new preview on the Crowfall site to showcase some upcoming customization options that owners of castles and keeps will be able to utilize. Players will be able to use a system that seems similar, in some ways, to Legos by using a “plug” system. Wall segments will be moveable in that players can “move your arrow slits, add dors where you want and even open up the interior of your wall with wooden support beams to look out over and fire into your courtyard.
Crowfall – Centaur, Minotaur and Guinecean Races Revealed in New Blog
The Crowfall site has been updated with a new post called “Meet the Monsters” that reveals the final three races of the game. Minotaurs, Centaurs and Guinecean are detailed including their Racial Runestone buffs as well as their passive abilities and which classes/genders are available for each one.
Crowfall – Stoneborn Introduced in New Meet the Race Update
Thomas “Blixtev” Blair has posted another developer blog called “Meet the Stoneborn!” He introduces the Stoneborn as the eldest of races. Created by the gods but not born of them, their numbers dwindle with the death of each Stoneborn as no new ones are created. The Stoneborn are enchanted creatures of earth and plant life.

Thomas “Blixtev” Blair is at it again with a brand new developer diary on the Crowfall site. In it, he introduces players and fans to the Half-Elf race. Half-Elves are born via Human and Wood-Elf parents with subtle but important differences from each parent’s race. For instance, they age more slowly than Humans, but more quickly than Wood-Elves. As a result of their mixed heritage, a lot of misinformation has been passed down about them.

Crowfall – Latest Race Blog Reveals the Enigmatic Fae
The Fae are the subject of the newest Crowfall developer blog. This enigmatic bunch is the smallest of the game’s races and is the first to sport wings. As with all the other races, Fae will have a Runestone that in their case provides a bonus to Dexterity and Intellect attributes as well as the “Bloodline” (free) passive that increases movement speed while in stealth, allows double-jumping and the ability to glide.
