Blizzard has posted a brief note on the Diablo 3 site to let folks know that the closed beta test for the Necromancer has officially kicked off. Players should check their email and be able to log in and install the special beta client.

Keep eyes on your mailboxes, Nephalem! The Diablo 3 Necromancer beta test will be starting soon. To participate, players will need to go to their Account Management page, then to the Beta profile Settings page. From there, tick the box next to Diablo in order to be considered for testing opportunities. Obviously, players need to have an active Diablo 3 key attached to a BNet account in good standing.

Diablo 3 community site has been updated with a new blog post dedicated to start of Season 10 which is now live for PC and consoles. As always, the new season offers challenges, season-only achievements and unique rewards such as cosmetic items and pieces of transmog set.

Diablo 3 players who have reached the apex of their gear progression have new reasons to check into the game thanks to today’s v2.5.0 update. Primal Ancient gear is for anyone who has passed their Season Journey and collected the best items they can. This new tier of items can exceed even the most dedicated gear hunter’s dreams.

Blizzard has published a handy-dandy guide to Diablo 3 seasons for the console crowd. Console seasonal play will kick off on Friday, March 31st at 5:00 pm Pacific / 8:00 pm Eastern.

Fans of Necromancers will love the latest update to the Diablo 3 site. Called “The Meleemancer”, the article gives out new information about some of the new class’s skills and abilities including the Grim Scythe, Death Nova, Devour and Raise Golem abilities.

The Diablo 3 site has been updated with a schedule for end of Season 9 and subsequent start of Season 10. As always, all seasonal heroes, their stashes, Paragon levels and more will be transfered over into the non-seasonal version of the game.

Players looking for more people to take on enemies of Sanctuary will be able to more easily find like-minded folks via Facebook integration. Folks who tie their Facebook account to the BattleNet launcher will be able to add friends as well as see “Suggested Friends”. At the moment, this functionality is available only for Diablo 3 in beta, though Blizzard has plans to bring it to other games as well.

The Diablo 3 site has been updated with the latest PTR notes for v2.5 that will bring a pair of much-requested features into the game: an Amory and a special collection space for crafting materials.

Diablo III players have a lot to look forward to with the arrival of the Anniversary Patch, v2.4.3. The anniversary event it a nod back to the original Diablo game with special “retro graphics”, the original game soundtrack and a sixteen level dungeon with nostalgic items including a King’s Sword, the Butcher’s Cleaver and more.
