Blizzard has released a great preview video of the upcoming ‘Anniversary’ patch, v2.4.3. Players will be able to take part in the special month-long anniversary content that is a nod back to the original game in the series. In addition, several of legendary items have been updated, both general legendaries and those part of class sets.

Diablo 3 – 20 Years to be Celebrated in All Blizzard Games
With the arrival of the twentieth anniversary of Diablo on December 31st, Blizzard is pulling out all the stops across its many games. In Diablo III, of course, players can play the Darkening of Tristram event but players in Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone, Overwatch, World of Warcraft and Starcraft II will also find celebratory goodies.
Diablo 3 – Season 8 To End December 30th
Blizzard has announced that Diablo 3 Season 8 will end in all regions on December 30th. Season 9 will begin a week later on January 6th. On December 30th all seasonal characters will be transfered to the non-season character list with all progress and items retained.

The Darkening of Tristram event for Diablo 3 is on the PTR for Blizzard’s ARPG. We dove in head first to play the first few levels of the re-imagined Diablo 1 – and ran smack dab into the butcher. Watch the first 15 or so minutes of Diablo 1 in D3, and let us know what you think!

Diablo 3 – Season Play FINALLY Coming to Consoles!
The Diablo 3 press kit contains some great news for console players in that Season play, long a staple of the PC experience, is coming to consoles. We know this through a screenshot in the press kit though this new feature has not yet been announced at Blizzcon.
