Recently we’ve noticed that a number of developers and companies are working hard towards building Metaverses, which is aimed directly at expansive online spaces that meld real and virtual experiences. From an outside perspective, you may ask yourself, "Isn’t a Metaverse just another kind of MMORPG?" The answer is complicated.
As fans of the MMORPG genre, we have opinions. All of us have, in our own minds, what we feel is the best MMORPG on the market, and more specifically what it’s doing that makes it so great. But what if you could start from scratch and build your own MMORPG? What would you name as its tentpole, defining feature to draw new and genre veterans alike to your world?
Zenith: The Last City, a VR MMORPG, has been out a week, and Kevin has been leveling up as an Essence Mage Tank. While the release had server issues, RamenVR quickly moved to implement fixes.
