If you don’t like spoilers, stop reading now! The Elder Scrolls Online datamining community has done it again and has ferreted out the next chapter in the game’s story. Players will be heading to the Khajiit lands in Elsweyr and will find an all-new story and huge new enemies to take on: Dragons! In addition, players will have a new class to try out in the form of the Necromancer.
The Elder Scrolls Online has a new letter to the community from Executive Producer Rich Lambert. Readers are treated to a look back at 2018 and all of the game’s accomplishments, events and more. In a small, but interesting paragraph, Lambert peeks into the future at 2019. “ESO will be 5 years old next year – a huge milestone for us and the community! As such, next year’s story and adventure will be something truly special for Elder Scrolls Online players.”
From December 13th through January 2nd, Elder Scrolls Online players can head into the game and take part in the annual New Life Festival. Players can pick up the quest starter by visiting the Crown Shop that sends them off to find Breda, the New Life Herald. From there it’s off on a host of daily quests that can win players Breda’s Bottomless Mead Mug collectible and New Life Festival Gift Boxes that can contain random items including crafting materials, consumables & more.

Starting December 6th, Elder Scrolls Online will be free to play “with no strings attached” on PlayStation 4, PC and XBox One. The event runs through December 11th. PS4 players will need PlayStation Plus membership in order to play, while XBox One players will need XBox Live Gold membership.
From Thursday, November 29th to Wednesday, December 5th, Elder Scrolls Online players can take part in the Undaunted Celebration Event and can score some sweet rewards. Each day of the event, players completing a random dungeon using the Dungeon Finder will earn Mysterious Reward Boxes. A reward box can be earned at the rate of one per day per character throughout the weeklong event.
Elder Scrolls Online players will be able to return to the Clockwork City during a special celebration event from November 15th through November 26th. Players can enjoy double items taken from crafting nods, earn double reward boxes from Daily Quests, double world boss drops and even earn Event Tickets. Four tickets will be needed to create and summon the Indrik mount. One ticket is earned during every event.
From November 15th to November 21st, Elder Scrolls Online players can try out the game’s premium subscription program, ESO Plus, for free. Durin gthe special event, players will gain full access to all of the Plus benefits including the contents of all released game packs, an unlimited crafting bag, double bank space and more. Best of all, the offer is “no strings attached” and doesn’t even require a credit card to try out.
Fans of building, decorating and maintaining the perfect home away from home in Elder Scrolls Online will be happy to read about new tools introduced in Update 20. Players will find a number of new functions to help streamline the process of decorating and much more.
Matt Firor has squashed fan hopes for Elder Scrolls Online on Nintendo Switch by saying, “We have thought about Switch, but ESO is an enormous game, and it just will not work. I would love for it to because I love Switch. It is one of the largest games ever made, and it will not fit on the Switch.” Firor made the comments at PAX Australia during an interview with GameSpot.
