The Elder Scrolls Online site has been updated with a post from Loremaster Lawrence Schick who uses the space to announced that he is leaving Zenimax for “his next great adventure”. Schick has been with the company since 2009 as its Lead Writer and Loremaster. The post is filled with Schick’s observations about the community and its importance to Tamriel.
From February 7th to February 12th, Elder Scrolls Online players who are not already Plus members are invited to try out ESO Plus for themselves. Plus membership offers players full access to all of the game’s DLC including Murkmire, the latest content expansion DLC. There are also a number of other perks including boosts to XP, gold acquisition and much more.
Starting February 7th, Elder Scrolls Online players can take part in the Morrowind Celebration Event. Those who own Morrowind will be treated to double drops from resource nodes, all bosses and double reward boxes from dailies in the area. Those who don’t own Morrowind can pick it up for a special price: 1750 Crowns (50% off). Lastly, those participating in the event can earn Event Tickets needed to buy Indrik Feathers needed to evolve Indrik mounts.
The Elder Scrolls Online forum has been updated with a new post that provides players with a look at forthcoming changes to Racials. The information came after a meeting with Class Reps with much of the time taken on the discussion of racials. “Devs made us think they have taken our and the community’s feedback to heart and are legitimately trying to make his as smooth as possible. Speaking for myself, I was impressed and pleasantly surprised”.
Ahead of the upcoming reworking of Racials in Elder Scrolls Online, the team has heard player feedback about “the total number of high level characters from ESO accounts” and will be awarding every player three race change tokens and three name change tokens. These will be automatically added to player accounts ahead of Update 21 when the changes to racials go into effect. We think that’s a pretty classy move altogether.
One of the components of the Season of the Dragon in Elder Scrolls Online is a 4-player dungeon called the Depths of Malatar. In a new article on the ESO site, the team provides a preview that “brings unique rewards to Tamriel’s undaunted adventurers”.
The Elder Scrolls Online site has been updated with a preview of the first off four big updates coming in 2019. The Wrathstone DLC will be part of the Plus membership for those who subscribe or it can be purchased separately for 500 Crowns. In addition, Update 21 is previewed and will be free for all ESO players.
The Elder Scrolls Online forum has been updated with a new post from the Combat Team to lay out the details about a forthcoming retooling of the game’s racials. The changes will go into effect with Update 21 and will be on the game’s PTS for testing purposes starting next week. The changes are needed, according to the post, because there are “a lack of effective options in picking your race/class combination” and because “many of the racial bonuses do not have universal applicability”.
Zenimax devs were on hand during a special live stream event earlier today to reveal what’s next for The Elder Scrolls Online. As dataminers predicted, the story is taking off to Elsweyr this June. In addition, a new yearlong story, The Season of the Dragon, is beginning that will span four tales that are all “interconnected and epic”.
On January 15th, the Elder Scrolls Online team will be hosting a special Twitch livestream event to reveal “The Season of the Dragon”, likely tied to today’s earlier news that players will be heading off to Elsweyr, the home of the Khajiit. There are perks for taking part too: with 55k concurrent users, a unique wallpaper will be released; 70k concurrent viewers sees all ESO players earn a pet; 90k concurrent viewers will see Rich Lambert get a SFW tattoo “somewhere on his body”.
