EVE Online players can head into the game to help stem the infestation of Rogue Swarm Nests that have spread throughout the cluster. Players have a chance to earn some Glacial Drift Skins and to find “useful training accelerators, valuable loot and salvage and more. Players are also able to score some rewards via The Agency that include fireworks and festival launchers. The Yoiul Festival allows players to take a break from the action and provides daily rewards for nifty stuff.

On November 14th, longtime CCP Senior Software Engineer “Blaze” passed away during a trip to London celebrating his recent engagement. Over the intervening weeks, CCP has been celebrating his life internally by raising funds for his fiance and daughter. To honor Blaze’s life, CCP will be selling the Blaze Squadron SKIN from now through December 19th when it will be permanently retired. 100% of proceeds from the sales of the skin will be donated Blaze’s family.

EVE Online is expanding the experience for its free players with the deployment of the Arms Race update. Alpha Clones, EVE’s version of free accounts, will now be able to train more skills than before, fly larger and more powerful ships and equip better, more deadly weapons.

The EVE Online blog has been updated with a forward look at Clone States, a recently introduced feature that allows players to try out the game at their own pace for free. Since launch during Ascension, Clone States have been popular and have helped increase day-to-day activity in the game. However, there are some significant ways that the team hopes to improve them even more.

EVE Online players looking for content in the game will soon have a reworked Agency UI that will provide a bird’s eye view of all PvE content. The Agency is set to be released on October 24th and will include Events, Agens, Resource Wars, Asteroid Belts, Epic Arc Agents and Signatures / Anomalies.

The Judge, once an integral part of one of EVE Online’s biggest alliances (Circle of Two), has just perpetrated what many believe is the largest theft in the game’s history. The Judge has since joined The Imperium alliance and dragged along about 1.5M ISK as well as a “captured enemy HQ” once belonging to GigX, the leader of Circle of Two.

The EVE Online site has been updated with a look at what the team calls “one of the most extensive and largest rebalances EVE Online has ever seen”. On July 11th, the rebalance effort for Strategic Cruisers will be deployed that has been a long time coming and with tremendous support from the community.

The EVE Online blog has been updated with the news that the next phase of Project Discovery will begin on July 11th. The project “brings citizen science to space in both EVE Online and in the real world”. It is designed to allow players to analyze real-world astronomical data, most notable surrounding that gathered by the CoRoT telescope.

A number of EVE Online streamers will be taking part in a 72-hour event to raise charity funds for both Able Gamers Foundation and The Angel Project. The event will be ongoing throughout the weekend and can be viewed on the EVEathon Twitch.tv channel.

The EVE Online site has been updated with the news that Skill Injectors are getting a new, smaller version in addition to the current one. The smaller Skill Injector will weigh in about 1/5th the size of the already-existing one and will, of course, come at a lower cost, perfect for newer and beginning players.
