Stack the Odds in Your Favor by Avoiding Deadly 50/50s in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

You land a down-grab and send your opponent’s fighter into the air; they might have buffered an air dodge to avoid your follow-up attack, or they might jump–so to land your attack you might have to delay it, or maybe the immediate attack would land. Of this ambiguity is born the “50/50.” In their latest Super Smash Bros. for Wii U video the Beefy Smash Doods (featuring Izaw) break down deadly 50/50s: exploring how these highly situational moments arise, based on the damage percentages and character interactions that make a 50/50 potentially fatal.

Watching out for these scenarios can help you avoid losing a stock over a bad call.

If you’re looking for more Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tips, the Beefy Smash Doods can also help you to utilize effective footstooling, or instruct you on Smash 4’s 2-frame punish.

King of Fighters XIV Screenshot Reveals First Glimpse of New Character Love Heart

Atlus has recently updated their official North American site for the King of Fighters XIV with a bunch of new screenshots. While most of these are just the same shots that SNK has been sharing over Twitter, one of them is a new shot that gives a glimpse of a character that we’ve yet to see anywhere else.

The screenshot in question shows us our first glimpse of newcomer Love Heart. Hailing from the Sky Love pachi-slot game, Love Heart represents the third and final member of the Another World team alongside Nakoruru and Mui Mui.

In addition to this, the screenshot also gives a slight hint at her fighting style, showing that she wields a sort of energy blade.

Now, however, brand new tech has been uncovered that’ll make bad assist calls punished harder than ever.
