Killer Instinct Season 3 brought a number of improvements to the game: abundant balance changes including entirely new moves for a number of cast members, new characters, the ability to play the game on PC… the list goes on. But the folks behind the game also put a good deal of work into improving the visual aspect of the title. While we were given a look at these improvements before the third season officially went live, still images can only show so much.

With that in mind, Hectorlo put together an extensive video offering side-by-side comparisons of the game’s old and new graphics. These visual enhancements obviously have no direct impact on gameplay, but the new lighting effects definitely improve the experience of beating up friend and foe alike.

Bandai Namco games is currently bringing Tekken 7 to select tournaments and arcades in North America. To help draw more attention to these, the company has partnered Esteban Martinez, the creator of FGC: Rise of the Fighting Game Community, to cover each stop in the game’s tour.

Their first stop on this tour was none other than the same place where they announced the tour itself: Final Round XIX. With Atlanta considered by some to be one of the homes of Tekken in the East Coast, there was bound to be plenty of hype and passion on display for the new game at the event.

It’s this that Martinez captures in the video below where he talks to various members of the community in attendance and highlights select moments from the tournament.

LiangHuBBB’s Funny & Cool Moments series has been a mainstay in the fighting game community for quite some time. Even after all of these episodes, the series is still going strong, as there’s always something curious or hilarious happening in our genre of choice.

This newest episode–the 94th–is loaded with footage from current contenders like Street Fighter V and Killer Instinct, as well as old school favorites like Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Super Street Fighter II Turbo. NYU Game Center is welcoming in another spring with Spring Fighter 2016. This year’s event brings together the NYC area for tournaments, in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Street Fighter V, with the winner of the SFV competition scoring a sweet round trip flight to Evolution 2016.

Each year, the Game Center brings in Seth Killian to interview a legendary player of the fighting game community; past guests included Daigo Umehara, Alex Valle and John Choi. This year’s special guest will be Ricki Ortiz. Catch her sit-down with s-kill at 6 PM EDT (3 PM PDT).

After a few years away, Pound has returned for its sixth outing. This longstanding Smash event has come to be synonymous with high-level competition in the region, and 2016’s installment is looking to continue that legacy in a big way.

As with other big name Smash events, Pound 2016 will be all about Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, with a little Super Smash Bros. 64 on the side.
