A few weeks ago, we reported on a possible PC release for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round based on the appearance of a listing for the game on Play-Asia. Now, we can add more fuel to that fire, as it has been discovered that the Entertainment Software Rating Board (or ESRB) mentions a PC version in their official rating.

While Team NINJA themselves have not made any official announcement regarding a PC release, this ESRB listing gives much more credence to recent speculation.

Another interesting thing to note is that the listing does not include make reference to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which seems to tie into the fact that these versions will basically be upgrades for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate (with digital only standalone option) instead of brand new releases like on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and possibly PC.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will launch in North America on February 17 and Europe on February 20.

Ah, Thanksgiving. The time of the year where many will head home to visit their families, gorge themselves on every carb they can find, and fall asleep in front of one of the day’s many football games. Without a doubt, east coast majors surpass nearly every region in the United States when it comes to support for airdashers, and it appears as if this year’s installment of Northeast Championships will be no different.

Organizer Eric “Big E” Small recently shared a preview of early registration numbers, listing the official lineup in order without divulging actual numbers. While it’s no surprise Ultra Street Fighter IV comes in at first, I admit that I did a bit of a double-take when I saw Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late is currently ranked just below the Capcom mainstay, surpassing popular titles like Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and King of Fighters XIII.

In an age where new fighting games are almost always on the horizon, it’s great to see titles outside the usual suspects have some staying power in the competitive scene.

And if that’s not enough to pique your interests, Small also announced that Big E Gaming will be providing a $500 bonus to BlazBlue: Chronophantasma’s prize pool. This is in addition to the thousands of dollars they are also set to dole out for Ultra Street Fighter IV and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Northeast Championships 15 is scheduled for December 5-7 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Registration ends this Friday, so be sure to secure your spot in the tournament by visiting their official site before the deadline.

The folks at Smash Boards have called for help from the Smash community to find all of the changes to the that went live when the 3DS title switched over to version 1.0.4 on November 18. This change log includes buffs and nerfs to over thirty characters, as well as sweeping system changes that have major implications in each and every match played.

Among the most prominent changes is the supposed removal of vectoring in favor of directional influence, a gameplay mechanic seen in previous titles that allows players to affect their own trajectory after being knocked away by an attack. This change effectively makes Super Smash Bros, for 3DS feel more like past entries in the series, which is probably for the best.

As this list is constantly evolving through the tedious process of side-by-side comparisons of the two versions of the game, we’ve not included a change log in this post. Please keep in mind that this list pertains only to ver.1.0.4 of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, and other changes may have been implemented in the release of its Wii U counterpart.

According to a press release from Nintendo, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is now the console’s fastest-selling North American game after selling over 490,000 copies in a span of three days.

These numbers don’t come as much of a surprise, as the fanbase has waited on pins and needles for the game’s release since its unveiling at E3 over a year ago. And the handheld version, first released on Nintendo’s 3DS system in Japan during September and then worldwide the following month, has moved millions of units globally. It currently sits as the ninth highest selling 3DS title in North America.

Now, released a little over a month after its 3DS predecessor, the Wii U counterpart comes equipped with more stages, stunning visuals, a massive soundtrack, and presumably an eager group of players ready to take their battles to the big screen.

Nintendo is set to reward players who purchased both iterations of the game by sending them two discs of music from the aforementioned soundtrack and providing a free download for returning veteran Mewtwo, who will be available in Spring 2015.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is scheduled to arrive in Europe and Japan on November 28 and December 6, respectively.

While Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- won’t arrive until December, fans eagerly anticipating that release in North America can now get their hands on a trial version of the upcoming fighter courtesy of PlayStation Network.

However, there are a few restrictions. First off, you need to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber to access this demo. Additionally, it is only available for PlayStation 4–sorry late adopters.

Similar to the previous Japanese demo, only Sol Badguy and Ky Kike will be available in the arcade (set to beginner difficulty) and tutorial modes. This allows for some rudimentary training, but expect a wider array of options when the full game launches next month.

Also like the Japanese version, this demo will be playable for a limited time. Starting today, users will be able to get their Guilty Gear fix for two weeks, with the trial period coming to an end on December 9.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will launch for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on December 4, and a North American release will follow on December 16.
