While new downloable character Eliza has been available for Skullgirls Encore players on PlayStation 3 and PC for some time, those on Xbox 360 haven’t been as lucky. Due to a previously undiscovered bug, the patch for Eliza had to be delayed on Microsoft’s platform. Happily, the bug has been addressed and Eliza is now available for download on Xbox 360.

This update will consist of a title update for version 1.03 and a new compatibility pack, as well as the downloadable content for Eliza herself. The title update brings a good number of changes to game and its existing characters, a complete list of which you’ll find here.

As with all of characters funded through the Lab Zero Games’ Indiegogo campaign, Eliza will be free to download for the next three months.

Yes folks, the time is finally here: Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is now available on PlayStation Network!

Okay wait, before you get ahead of yourselves, let’s set a few things straight. First, it’s a demo…a limited demo, in fact. A limited demo that is currently only available for PlayStation Plus subscribers in Japan.

But, yeah, this is still a pretty big deal for folks outside of the title’s home country. See, the highly-anticipated fighter has made very few appearances in other regions, meaning that players with Japanese PlayStation Network accounts can now get their hands on the game themselves and try it out before its official release later this year.

Now, about the “limited” thing we mentioned earlier. This demo is rather barebones, only allowing players a chance to mess around with series mainstays Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske in both the arcade and tutorial modes. Fortunately, the arcade playthrough is set to Beginner, which means it could very well serve as a makeshift training arena for those in need of such a thing.

Furthermore, you won’t be able to download the Xrd demo and play it forever. This early access period will only last until October 29, after which it will disappear from your console (we assume?) and you’ll have to wait for the full release to play it again.

Still, even with all these limitations, fans who were frothing at the mouth for any semblance of actual gameplay should find a lot to enjoy in this release. Remember, you will need both a PlayStation Network account for Japan as well as an active PlayStation Plus subscription (for the Japanese account, naturally) to access this product.

While fans who pre-purchased Killer Instinct’s upcoming season two content have been able to play around with TJ Combo and the various character changes for some time, the update is now officially heading out across Xbox Live for everyone who owns the game.

This means, in addition to the aforementioned items, players now have the ability to also try out Maya for themselves. A preview of what the veteran brings to the table can be found in the video below as well as our own previous report.

Should you decide to stick with the free-to-play version, TJ Combo will soon be rotating in as the sole playable character, allowing you to test him out online and in training mode. All of you netplay warriors out there should be on the look out for a surge of would-be boxers as the update becomes more widespread.

As with past patches, Killer Instinct Season Two will be going out in waves, which means you may not receive an update prompt as soon as others. Microsoft Studios’ Adam Isgreen mentioned that everyone should be able to download the new data by around 11 PM PDT, 2 AM EDT, so sit tight.

Ever since the original Killer Instinct hit arcades back in the nineties, fans have turned to the series when they needed to pull off blisteringly long combos against friend and foe alike, and they’ve always done so to an amazing soundtrack.

Back when the first game hit home consoles, early copies came bundled with Killer Cuts, a complete soundtrack that fans of the series could pop into home CD players to get their gaming music fix, or bring with them in whatever fancy “skip-proof” portable player they had at the time.

Today, the Killer Instinct season one soundtrack became available on Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play as a double-album, bundled with the full original arcade soundtrack for a price that varies depending on platform ($11.49 for Amazon, $12.99 on iTunes, and $12.49 on Google Play).

This time around, the album’s digital format will be much easier to bring along to locals, unless nostalgia overtakes you and you feel like burning a copy for that old Walkman. To purchase songs or to just kick back and listen to some sample tracks, follow the links below.
