Get ready to take a trip back to the Saiyan Saga!

Earlier this week, it was announced that Base Goku and Vegeta would be the next pair of DLC characters heading to Dragon Ball FighterZ. This morning the Bandai Namco US Twitter account released some new screenshots of the pair: We see Base Vegeta firing off his Galick Gun and Galaxy Breaker Super Special Moves, while Base Goku activates Kaioken and charges up the Spirit Bomb, as well as clear headshots of their official portraits on the in-game HUD. It also appears that they will officially be referred to in-game as simply Goku and Vegeta, which makes sense, as their Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Forms that are currently present in the game carry that distinction on both the HUD and character select screen.

Both of these characters will be available sometime in early August as part of DLC 3, and will cost $4.99 each. They are also included in the FighterZ Pass alongside Bardock, Broly, Fused Zamasu, SSGSS Vegito and two more unannounced characters (who are heavily rumored to be Android 17 in his Dragon Ball Super incarnation and Cooler in his Final Form), for $34.99. Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam PC, with a Nintendo Switch version set to be released on Friday, September 28th, with an open beta set for early August.

In fighting games, “big bodies” are, broadly speaking, larger than average characters with tons of health and damage, but weaknesses in other areas such as mobility. Years before that term existed, though, there was a character in the Kinnikuman manga named “Big Body”. Despite his name and size, he can never be accused of being a tank — he’s dispatched quickly in the original source material, and in the fighting game based off of this series, he is the lowest health character in the game.

But once you learn his combo potential, he hits like… well, like a Big Body.

Kinnikuman Muscle Grand Prix 2 is the fighting game in question, and it has an excellent, if not surprisingly difficult, juggle system that still inspires exploration to this day. Big Body was never a high tier character (and yes, you can still find tournaments for this game) but as R- JOINT demonstrates in his latest combo video, there’s a lot of damage potential to be discovered. Nearly every BnB demonstrated here does over half-life on the majority of the cast, and rarely costs much in the way of meter. Good luck timing these combos, though, if you seek this game out — KMGP2’s hitboxes are firmly on the model, making some attacks difficult to hit on a juggled opponent.

There’s a new batch of Summer costumes for the ladies of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

Though we sadly didn’t get a reveal of G at Capcom’s Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition panel at San Diego Comic Con 2018, Capcom did announce a new wave of Swimsuit Costumes for Juri, Menat, Sakura, Kolin and Falke that will be “coming soon.” Each character brings a sprinkle of personality to the outfits, with the sadistic Juri foregoing sandals for boots and a leather jacket, while Sakura dons her gym attire.

Though no price range was given for the outfits, they will likely cost the same individually as other Premium Costumes at $3.99 each. It is unknown whether or not they will also be released in a bundle like previous swimsuit outfits. Get a closer look at the Soul Reaper trio with Jump Force’s latest V-Jump scan!

Last month, we reported that Bleach’s Ichigo Kurosaki would be playable in the upcoming Jump Force, alongside ally Rukia Kuchika and nemesis Sousuke Aizen, reuniting Shonen Jump’s “Big Three” in the team-based arena fighter.

Though we’ve also seen some screenshots of the trio, this month’s V-Jump scan — translated by ShonenGamez — provides us with a look at the trio’s official character artwork. They are clad in their “Thousand Year Blood War” attires from the manga’s final arc. The scan also provides details on each Reaper’s play style.

Despite having his power sealed by Soul Society after his failed invasion of Karakura Town, Aizen will still be able to use his Zanpakuto, Kyoka Suigetsu, which holds hypnotic abilities. Ichigo will be wielding the true form of his zanpakuto: the dual-blade Shin No Zangetsu, representing both his Soul Reaper/Hollow and Quincy powers — this allows him to perform the Getsuga Jujisho. Finally, Rukia, Lieutenant of the 13th Division of the Gotei 13, brings her signature ice attacks with her zanpakuto, Sode No Shirayuki.

We also get to see a bit more of the Hong Kong stage, which will allow players to fall into the grave of Blackbeard’s pirate ship, which seems to allow follow-up attacks from a landing zone. You can see the full scan below, and hopefully we’ll be seeing these three in action with the promised “insane slicing visuals” soon.

Jump Force will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam PC sometime in 2019.
