How to punish every character in Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 as Leo Whitefang

The more characters are added to Guilty Gear Xrd, the more time you need to spend in the lab. Fear not, though–especially if you’re a Leo player. Sharizord worked on an extensive compilation that shows unsafe moves from the entire cast, and how to punish them. The playlist below includes extra videos that cover specific REV 2 changes, so skip one video to see the guide for the latest version.

At the very end, there’s punishing Baiken and Answer, the two REV 2 newcomers. What’s particularly valuable about this video guide, however, is how applicable it is to every character, even if you don’t play Leo specifically.

Another important video to highlight are some practical option selects. Sharizord displays how to more easily catch backdashes from certain cast members with a specific setup. There’s also a way to use the guard point on his normals to option-select-parry a Burst. They show some additional measures on how to do a stylish Burst counter from the back turned stance as well.

Sharizord also recently made a quick tutorial to improve your Leo Whitefang. However, if you’re looking to read up a little on everything Leo does and his match-ups, there’s a countering Leo guide as well, recently updated.

NSURGO to offer a new line of Beast-branded Daigo Umehara merchandise, launching alongside Evo 2017

Soon you will be able to show your support of the Beast with new apparel–and more.

Already partnered with Twitch, HyperX, Cygames, and Red Bull, another company is stepping forward to join forces with the Beast: NSURGO has announced plans to produce new merchandise featuring Daigo Umehara’s “Beast” branding.

Daigo Umehara most recently signed up with Cygames to form Cygames Beast: a sponsorship shared by PR Balrog and Red Bull’s Snake Eyez; this was preceded by a sponsorship with gaming headset manufacturer HyperX, working with Red Bull to promote his book The Will to Keep Winning, and being named Twitch’s global brand ambassador. His accomplishments need no introduction in the FGC–and after some struggles with Ryu in Street Fighter V, his recent switch to Guile has earned him a spot in the upcoming ELEAGUE playoffs; many eyes are on Umehara again, waiting to see if he can rise to even greater competitive prominence.

While no products have been revealed yet, NSURGO promises “apparel, headwear, and accessories” in their upcoming Beast line. The BEAST x NSURGO collection will launch to coincide with Evo 2017–happening in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 14-16. From NSURGO:

The goal of this partnership is to create the first-ever lifestyle brand that captures the influence Daigo has brought to the fighting game community. To accomplish this, the NSURGO and Beast teams will combine their years of experience in competitive gaming, artistic design, and merchandising. The result will be fresh new products for fans and the fighting game community. The NSURGO team is honored to have spent the last several months working with the Beast team, and in that time have developed a number of new designs, including the new Beast logo.

Fantastic Filia feats on full display in this Skullgirls: 2nd Encore CMV

Skullgirls is a game that’s undergone many changes since it first released 5 years ago, both in its community and in the game itself. Through all of those changes, the game’s managed to maintain the same sense of freedom that it started with; while those ridiculous 30 second combos don’t exist anymore, the open-ended nature of combos is very much alive.

Skullgirls player duckator, noted for winning both of the 2012 and 2013 Evo side tournaments for the game, recently constructed an amazing CMV featuring Filia. This video focuses on landing outrageous confirms, both alone and with assistance. While most of these are pretty impractical in real matches, this is definitely worth a watch.

Koihime Enbu: hfblade shares combo videos for Kan’u and Chō’un

On May 19th, 2016, M2 Co. LTD and UNKNOWN GAMES released their only fighting game to date on the Steam platform. To celebrate the release of the grounded 2D fighter Koihime Enbu, YouTuber hfblade put together some slick combo videos for the Guandao wielder Kan’u and Bident user Chō’un.

Both videos are an impressive display of the counter hit crumples, wall bounces, and ground loops this combo system has to offer…

… but his Chō’un combo video really pushes the mid-combo cross-ups to the limit, a flashy byproduct of this game’s loose juggle system.

hfblade makes a lot of combo videos for various anime fighters, Tekken, and more–so be sure to check out their channel!

This new TAC infinite in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for Morrigan includes a Hyper Combo

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s TAC infinite’s continue to be the gifts that keep on giving. This new TAC infinite for Morrigan, however, is a bit unique for one reason: it involves a Hyper Combo.

Michael “Chamakito” Benitez has discovered that Morrigan can perform a Team Aerial Combo infinite in the corner that involves her combo-ing back into her Finishing Shower hyper combo. While this technically means that the combo isn’t a true infinite (she can’t continue once she’s out of meter), the video below demonstrates that she only really needs to use 2 bars to effectively kill most characters.

Maximize Guile’s Season 2 Sonic Boom loops in Street Fighter V with VesperArcade’s new tutorial

One of Guile’s most significant changes in Street Fighter V‘s second season was his V-Trigger going from 3 to 2 bars, as well as timer consumption alterations for his Sonic Break–drastically altering the Air Slasher’s Sonic Boom loops, and making them shorter overall.

For those looking to master the new variant–which players like Team Liquid’s NuckleDu and Twitch.Hx.CYG BST|Daigo Umehara are currently using in tournaments–VesperArcade has you covered with a new updated guide that breaks the new loop down into three phases, which can also be altered based on whether or not you have Critical Art available. Keep in mind this tech will still work after the new balance update arrives with Ed, at some point in the future. You can see the full guide below, to get you on the path to chucking American plasma like a pro.
