It’s Melee, Baby! Watch Some of the Craziest Super Smash Bros. Melee Infinite Combos

Thought infinites were reserved for the Marvel Vs. series? Think again. Any game with loose-enough mechanics tends to lend itself to the potential for some insane infinite combos.

While the most notorious Super Smash Bros. Melee infinite is the famous Ice Climbers “Wobble” grab infinite, it’s not the only one possible. The Pokémon Stadium stage helps contribute to this, especially in doubles. The results can be crazier than Wobbling could ever hope to be.

So now, here’s a ranking of the 15 craziest Melee infinites, that could make Mag-freaking-neto green with envy.

Bonchan is Busy Showing People Why Nash is Still Competitive in Street Fighter V

Razer’s Infiltration has gone on record to say that Capcom has effectively cut off all of Nash’s limbs in the Season 2 update. Apparently that analogy failed to deter Red Bull’s Bonchan; while Infiltration continues to seek a new main, Bonchan has stuck to his guns, continuing with Nash despite the nerfs.

What he has found is that Nash still has strength in the game, but you have to flex far different muscles than you previously did. So while Nash has lost a lot of the tools he had before, it has forced other tools to come to the forefront, and this video has Bonchan showcasing those tools.

If You Can’t Shoot the Dog, Join Him in This Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Duck Hunt Tutorial

While this may date those people who already get the headline, for the younger audience: there was once a time when rumors were abound that you could actually shoot that dog in Duck Hunt, that would taunt you for missing ducks. But alas, it was only a myth, and the dog remained forever unscathed.

Now, we are able to fight alongside him in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Actually one of the more well-rounded characters in the game, he is able to zone well, as well as come in on the offense. But do you know how and when to do these? Well, this guide might come in handy to help keep your opponents from shooting him, too–now that it is possible, after a fashion.

How to Counter a V-Reversal (and Do It Quickly) with Laura in Street Fighter V

While a lot of the cast finds their way to punish V-Reversals in their throws, Laura (ironically, as a grappler) has certain moves that don’t allow her that opportunity. But that doesn’t mean Laura can’t take advantage of a predicted V-Reversal.

In this video, we get to see all the potential ways that Laura can punish V-Reversals just by using her backwards momentum to her advantage. Not only can she punish them, but she can do so with an insane amount of damage.

Genesis 4 TOs to Offer Compensation to Komorikiri and Dabuz after Damage Scaling Controversy

If you tuned in to Genesis 4 over the weekend, you probably saw some heated exchanges at some point; due to mistakes being made that caused damage to be scaled back by .1%, there was no shortage of controversy in two separate matches during Super Smash Bros. for Wii U’s top 8.

Both Japanese player Komorikiri and Dabuz fell victim to this–with Komorikiri being allowed to replay the final match in his set (and losing), and Dabuz being denied the same opportunity. A dejected and frustrated Komorikiri left the stage without even a perfunctory handshake with his opponent.

While tournament organizer Bear considering checking settings prior to matches, he is going a step further to try and make amends to the players affected. He has opted to compensate the two for Genesis 4 and any other tournaments they attend this year. While Komorikiri has yet to respond to the offer, Dabuz took to Twitter to accept the act of goodwill from Bear.

Ultra Street Fighter II’s Online Multiplayer Features Have Been Announced

Since Capcom announced their upcoming Nintendo Switch title Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, new details have been scarce. We have had some impressions sent in by Echo Fox’s Justin Wong, but not much else to go on aside from some opinions and speculation on the game.

More details are trickling in, mainly about what online play could look like in the title. First, Ultra Street Fighter II will feature an arcade standby mode, which will allow you to play through arcade mode until the game finds an online opponent to play against. Secondly, there will be features such as Ranked and Casual matches available. You will also be able to use the Switch’s Wi-Fi features to play people in the vicinity on a Wi-Fi ad-hoc LAN mode.

Online play will also have similar settings to that of Ultra Street Fighter IV, where players will receive both Player Points and Battle Points–the former correlating to overall player skill and the latter correlating to a player’s skill with a specific character.

There is currently no word as to what netcode Capcom will be using for the game.
