With Omen of Sorrow launching in just a few weeks time, AOne Games and Elite Tournament Chile have come together to put up character demos for the game.
The videos below feature ETC|McFly showing off the characters Gabriel, Caleb, and Zafkiel in matches against an AI opponent. While this means that the matches aren’t exactly high-level tournament ones, they still allow McFly to show off some of what these characters can do, including some impressive-looking combos and setups.
Omen of Sorrow arrives on PlayStation 4 on November 6.
While the home versions of Tekken 7 have been getting a steady stream of additional content, the same can’t be said for the arcade version. However, it seems that’s going to change when Tekken 7: Fated Retribution Round 2 arrives in arcades in February.
Tekken 7: Fated Retribution Round 2 updates the arcade version with DLC characters from the console and PC versions. This of course includes guest characters Geese Howard, Noctis Lucis Caelum, as well as season 2 characters such as Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, and more.
As part of the announcement, Bandai Namco has released this trailer for Round 2.
With the end of the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour in sight, we know that another season — full of patches, nerfs, and buffs — is on the horizon. With a set of generally agreed upon top 5 characters, Ibuki always ends up in that list, as she has been for the last two seasons. The question now is how to properly balance her while keeping her playable competitively.
VesperArcade offers up their answers in their most recent wish list. With changes to her throw and overhead being near the top of the list, they also suggest some sort of buff to her first V-Trigger to make both V-Triggers equally viable.
In addition to fantastic Tekken 7 matches, those that tuned in to Mastercup were met with a surprise announcement: NorCal’s Strong Style tournament series was set to return next year, with a focus on a 3v3 teams format.
Unlike many other majors, Strong Style is not a yearly running event. That’s because this tournament holds its allegiance to one series only, and that’s Tekken. Its presence appears only when needed, and with Tekken 7 squared center in the spotlight of the FGC, it’s needed now more than ever: the reception (and 200+ players that showed up) for Strong Style 6 proved that much.
With a growing scene for Tekken 7 that has drawn top players from surrounding cities like San Antonio and Houston, Arcade UFO has now moved into regular streaming for its growing weeklies. Every Saturday at 8:30 PM CT/ 6:30 PM PT is Tekken, and you can watch right now:

SEA Major 2018 featured two different events for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition: a traditional open bracket and an eight player event consisting of the top 8 players on the CPT Asia Regional Leaderboard. Amazingly, as indicated in the several spots he’s apart of in today’s highlight reel, Evo Champion Tokido found himself in the grand finals of both events.
Legend he may be, he also fell to 2nd place in both events — and despite that, still walked away looking like the most impressive player at the event. His consistency and iron will shaped the events of both tournaments, and of the absurd comebacks he pulled off in this Top 5 moments video from Capcom Fighters.

It was already known that Yoshimitsu was going to be a wildly versatile and efficient character, but I’m not sure how many people saw he bringing Tekken-length combos like this along with him.
When we first learned that Zasalamel’s Time Orbs were combo-modifiers, it seemed almost inevitable that something like this would be the result. This might be the only mid-juggle RE I’ve seen used thus far: do you have any other examples?

While East Coast Throwdown is taking place in North America, in South America is JAM Festival 2018, the final LATAM Ranking Event for the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour. In addition to Street Fighter V Arcade Edition, the line-up is rounded it out by Dragon Ball FighterZ, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Tekken 7.
Competitors include Itabashi Zangief of Japan, StunneR, Brolynho, ChuChu, Dark, PR3DA, Pauloweb, BabyBrasil, Doomsnake, HKDASH and more.
