Take the Poison of the Nguuhao in These Street Fighter V CFN Portal Site Profiles

During F.A.N.G’s Character Prologue in Street Fighter V, it’s mentioned that he was the leader of a large drug cartel, the Nguuhao, who had allied with Shadaloo, and under the guise of displaying their “vassalage” attempted to stage a coup against M. Bison–but underestimating the strength of his Psycho Power, as well as his immunity to their Poison Hand techniques, they were systematically exterminated, save for the “Cunning Trickster.” F.A.N.G immediately pledged loyalty to Shadaloo and become the organization’s new Fourth Heavenly King, replacing the long-departed Sagat in the overall hierarchy.

Now, the Shadaloo Activity Report and Private Nakagawa take a deeper look inside this once-powerful organization and its members.

Private Nakagawa: This time we speak of members of an organization active in the past throughout Asia, the Nguuhao. Are you asking me if they once came into our Shadaloo base? I wasn’t enrolled at that time yet, so I don’t know.

Nguuaho Soldier

Basic Info:

Name: Nguuhao Soldier (Nguuhao is Thai for “Cobra”)
Equipment: Uniform, Notepad
Duties: Info Gathering, Market Research, Various Negotiations
Techniques: Dokujakyaku (“Poisonous Snake Kick”)

T.A.I.L & T.U.S.K

Basic Info:

Name: (right) T.A.I.L (left) T.U.S.K
Equipment: Uniform
Duties: Assassination
Techniques: (right) Dokubenpatsujakōryū (“Poisonous Queue Evil Dragon Hair”) (left) Dokugiri Funsha (“Poison Spray”) [This is also the original name of what is known as the “Green Mist” seen in Professional Wrestling, used by the likes of Tajiri, The Great Muta, Seiya Sanada and The Great Kabuki!]

Private Nakagawa: It seems that, as a rule, the Nguuhao’s members can’t expose their true names. Moreover, they can’t reveal what sort of techniques they are learning.  It is said they all start by learning the basic usage of poison, until it has been tightly hammered into them, and then each member begins to hone his personal techniques. Speaking of which, we’ve also obtained these images.

F.A.N.G in a Nguuhao Soldier Uniform
F.A.N.G Story Costume

Private Nakagawa: Hmm, he resembles someone… Who could he be? He seems scary, doesn’t he?

That seems to be the extent of Shadaloo’s intel on the now-extinct Nguuhao. Hopefully, this provided some interesting insights for F.A.N.G players on the character’s past and origins. Do you have any thoughts on this dastardly organization? Would you like to see the deceased T.A.I.L and T.U.S.K be made playable, so we can receive a look at their own unique Poison Hand techniques? Let us know in the Comments! You can also check out the other 6 Yoga Masters you’ve just gotta meet at least once here.

Captain America: Civil War’s Correct Voice and Sound Effects Restored (from the Marvel vs. Capcom Games)

Captain America: Civil War, the most recent Hollywood thrill-ride in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, definitely served up all the intrigue and exciting action sequences one would expect from the brand. But while you watched the film, did you get the impression something was a bit… off? Everything looked great, but something wasn’t quite right…

Watching the video below, the answer is suddenly clear: the voices and sound effects were all wrong! YouTuber Frob Man has brought this terrible oversight to light, and restored the film’s action scenes with the true sound effects and voices–that is, those of the Marvel vs. Capcom series!

Thanks to Rafael for the tip!

Urien Is Coming to Street Fighter V, Alongside New Stage Transitions and Much More, on September 22

If there was one piece of Street Fighter V news that everyone was waiting for Capcom to drop at the Tokyo Game Show 2016, it was the release date for Season One’s final DLC character, Urien. It seems that in this regard, Capcom did not disappoint!

During the Capcom Channel livestream for TGS, Capcom finally announced the release date for the Urien will be September 22, 2016. That’s right, the metal-skinned Illuminati lord is officially coming to Street Fighter V next Thursday!

sfv_urien_fist_bump

Urien isn’t the only thing coming in on the 22nd, however! As detailed on the updated Capcom-Unity blog, the upcoming patch will also add in new stage transitions for many of the game’s stages. We’ve covered these before, as intrepid dataminers on PC have been able to find their animations. However, with the update we’ll finally get to see them working properly in-game.

For a quick sample of this, Sea has shared a short clip from the TGS stream of the Kanzuki Stage left side transition (including the samurai helmet that falls on the defeated opponents head) on Twitter.

And that’s not nearly all. As promised, we’re also getting the daily challenges, a vs. CPU mode, and–at long last–the statistic-tracking function in the Fighter Profiles. Premium costumes will now have their additional colors unlocked, and the colors formerly only unlockable through Survival Mode will be available for purchase as well–and last but not least, a slew of bug fixes and balance changes. For all the details on this massive update, check the full breakdown on Capcom-Unity!

XusesGB Relives the Building of a Utopia with This Rolento Evolution Video

XusesGB returns with more of his “Evolution of” series: this time, he takes on everyone’s favorite master of guerrilla warfare, Rolento. As always, Xuses leaves no stone unturned, starting with Rolento’s debut within Final Fight, to his debut within the mainline Street Fighter universe in Street Fighter Alpha 2, through to modern times with Street Fighter X Tekken and Ultra Street Fighter 4.

He goes further, using expert play by two people that handled Rolento best, Alienware’s Nemo in Ultra Street Fighter 4, and Razer’s Infiltration, who won an Evolution title with the character in 2012 alongside Laugh in Street Fighter X Tekken.

Keep Your Opponent on the Ropes with This R. Mika Corner Setup for Street Fighter V

In Street Fighter V, R. Mika has become known for her brutal vortex-like approach–the goal of getting the opponent in the corner and keeping them there with varied combos and mix-ups. Mika players will want to take note of this aerial overhead setup to keep laying that corner smack down; opponents, here’s another part of Mika’s game to watch out for!

As uploader Elchakotay Andrich has found, this overhead setup is only confirmed to work on the taller fighters M. Bison, Birdie, Vega, and F.A.N.G so far.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Added to Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility List

Fans of Sega’s time-honored and highly technical fighting series Virtua Fighter: if you claim Xbox One as your console of choice, you can now enjoy Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown on your new system. The game has been added to the ever-growing list of backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games.

Other games added this week included Bound By Flame and The Maw. No playable version of VF5 has properly graced the PlayStation 4 yet: unless you count the game’s upcoming inclusion in Yakuza 6’s arcade.

Street Fighter V’s Six Other Yoga Masters You’ve Just Gotta Meet, According to the CFN Portal Site

At the beginning of Dhalsim’s Character Prologue in Street Fighter V, Rashid identifies him as, “One of the seven Yoga Masters in the world you gotta meet at least once,” noting that’s “what the net calls him, anyway.” In the latest set of CFN Portal profiles from the Shadaloo Activity Report, as told by Shadaloo soldier Private Nakagawa, we have full details on the other six Yoga Masters–so if you’ve curious about them, you will have to wonder no longer!

Private Nakagawa: Here’s one of the Seven Masters of Yoga you have to meet at least once, made famous by that site. On what basis of criteria did they choose those Seven Masters?

Yoga Master Jagjit

Basic Info:

Name: Jagjit
Height: 170cm
Weight: 59kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: May 25
Country of Origin: India
Likes: Ascetic Practices, Training, His Wife
Dislikes: Quarrels, Poverty

Private Nakagawa: A master residing in Punjab, Northwest India, that specializes in the “Transition of the Operator,” or Yoga Teleport. About 30 years ago, in the village where a young Jagjit was living, a disastrous flood occurred, leaving the villagers stymied and in big trouble. It seems he teleported over 50 people at one time to their safety, and thats’ how his legend started. It’s said his spiritual powers surpass even those of Dhalsim. [His name comes from Jagjit Singh, an Indian singer who is widely known in Japan.]

Private Nakagawa: Of course we’re going to do all of them. Another one of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once. A Master of “wisdom,” with a vast amount of knowledge.

Yoga Master Amitabh

Basic Info:

Name: Amitabh
Height: 188cm
Weight: 63kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: June 3
Country of Origin: India
Favorite things: Ancestor’s Teachings, Reading Books
Dislikes: Perfumes

Private Nakagawa: A Master living in Uttar Pradesh, who specializes in unification with nature. He once meditated silently for 5 years. He helps other people’s lives with his extensive knowledge, teaching it. But if you pose a question to him, or consult with him about something, he goes into a deep meditation, and for at least one month he won’t respond. In the meantime, the vast majority of your problems would have been resolved by themselves.

Private Nakagawa: And we continue. A Master! One of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once, a strong Master of the force of “power.”

Yoga Master Mahabali G.

Basic Info:

Name: Mahabali G.
Height: 205cm
Weight: 175kg
Blood Type: B
Birthday: April, 17
Country of Origin: India
Likes: Himself, Strength Contests
Dislikes: Weak People, Condescending Attitudes

Private Nakagawa: A Yoga Master living in Kamataka. Before starting to learn Yoga, he was a Cricket player. He was an excellent player, but in a game against a rival team, he injured his neck. During his subsequent depression, someone suggested that he try Yoga, and in a very short time he completely devoted himself to it. He knows techniques to quickly improve the strength of his neck. He’s famous for the exciting trick of lifting up four gigantic elephants with his legs. Since becoming famous, he has developed a noticeable haughtiness and generally arrogant attitude. The “G” in his name stands for “Great.”

Private Nakagawa: Next, a female Yoga Master. One of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once. She is active internationally.

Yoga Master Sheila

Basic Info:

Name: Sheila
Height: 162cm
Weight: 60kg
Blood Type: 0
Birthday: November 12
Country of Origin: USA
Likes: Dance, Songs
Dislikes: Paparazzi

Private Nakagawa: A Master currently living in New York. She was originally dreaming to become a promising dancer, but her encounter with Yoga while in India was a turning point in her life. She possesses a soft, flexible, body, which has helped her to master various techniques and positions. Her power of expression is rich, so she’s able to use all of her body parts in a useful and expressive way, and has numerous disciples all around the world. Her instructional Yoga DVD caused an explosive boom. She’s a celebrity, and travels using her private jet. [Sheila is an Indian actress, and also an Indian restaurant in Ōsaka.]

Private Nakagawa: And we continue (are you tired already?)! One of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once. Could this one be stronger than Dhalsim when it comes to techniques?

Yoga Master Dr. Gulab Jamun

Basic Info:

Name: Dr. Gulab Jamun
Height: 177cm (variable)
Weight: 133kg (variable)
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: March 30
Country of Origin: India
Likes: Eating, Sleeping
Dislikes: Futile Labor

Private Nakagawa: A Master who can inflate himself freely. He fills his body with ki and swells up like a balloon. He’s a Master of “Yoga Expansion,” with which he can absorb any enemy attack without taking damage. A Hyper Armor that renders anything ineffective. In this state, he can roll and squash his foe with the “Yoga Iron Ball,” a dangerous technique. Since his body weight increases as well, he cannot use it indoors. Surprisingly, no one wants to be his disciple. By the way, gulab jamun is the name of a delicious dessert!

Private Nakagawa: And finally, the last Master. One of the Seven Yoga Masters you have to meet at least once. It seems he was chosen only recently, as before him there were only 6 Great Masters.

Yoga Master Y

Basic Info:

Name: Master Y
Height: 100cm
Weight: 15kg
Blood Type: Unknown
Birthday: Unknown
Country of Origin: India
Likes: Living Beings, Sleeping
Dislikes: Anything That’s Not A Living Being

Private Nakagawa: A Master that can understand animals. He was discovered deep in the jungle, near the country’s border, living together with a Bengal tiger. Judging from his height and weight, he’s a young boy of approximately 4 years. He can’t speak with words, but can transmit his thoughts using means of telepathy. Even the most ferocious of animals behave themselves quietly in front of him. It isn’t known where he came from, but he’s been a Yoga Master from his birth.

Private Nakagawa: And we’ve finally presented all of the Yoga Masters. Together with Dhalsim they’re 7, each one with their own personality…

That wraps up the CFN Portal site’s coverage of the 6 other Yoga Masters. Aren’t you glad you’ve met them now? Let us know what you think of them in the Comments section!  For more information from the Shadaloo Activity Report, check out the Background Characters of the Lair of the Four Kings here.

Harness the Power of Fire Emblem’s Flaming Swordsman in This Roy Character Guide from IzAw for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Roy’s had a bit of a raw deal in the Smash series. He’s ranked 20th in Melee in F-Tier, he didn’t get invited back to play in Brawl, he arrived late to the party in Smash 4 and is considered to be the worst Fire Emblem character. Hoping to prove that Roy isn’t as bad as many people think he is, top Link main and newest member of the Beefy Smash Doods, IzAw, has created a guide for Roy as part of his “Art of” series for Smash 4.

This guide goes through all of Roy’s normals and specials and how to use Roy’s unique mix of raw power and speed to catch out opponents. While many of his moves are strong by themselves, Roy relies on players always having a setup to kill, as a Roy that blindly throws out Smashes is one who is guaranteed to be punished. He does have a fantastic grab game, but if you cannot get in to grab someone, a Roy player will struggle to build up damage.

While this guide will not convince anyone that Roy is top tier, it may prove to some people that Roy should not be placed at the very bottom of Smash 4’s tier list and that he can be quite a threat, if played properly.
