Final Fantasy XIV has been updated to bring the v4.55 patch online. It features new content including The Forbidden Land, Eureka Hydatos and a new Rival Wings map, Hidden Gorge. Players will also find new side story quests, housing updates that include Furnishing Design Contest winners, PvP adjustments, The Feast preseason start and much more.
From now through May 3rd, Twitch Prime members can play up to thirty days worth of the base game of Final Fantasy XIV. The base game is usually $20 and includes content up to the Heavensward expansion and allows players to level to 50 along the way. Jobs can be leveled to 35 and there are restrictions in place for both free companies and linkshells.
Final Fantasy XIV players learned that a new crossover event is planned to bring Noctis from Final Fantasy XV into the game. The event is likely to come in April and will see Noctis come into the world with the iconic vehicle from FFXV, the Regalia. He will join the Warrior of Light “in battle against magitek infantry, magitek armor and even the Messenger, Garuda, hailing from Eos”.
The Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest is underway in Paris and it’s started with a bang. The game’s Shadowbringers expansion has finally been dated. Players can look for it on July 2nd. In addition, the new Gunbreaker tank class is coming with Shadowbringers. Expansion preorders will begin on February 6th.
