There’s a theme that, if you look for it, you’ll find threaded throughout Guild Wars 2. From the moment you push back centaurs at Shaemoor to the first steps on Orr and beyond. Guild Wars 2 takes player on epic adventures. Since August 2012, I’ve saved villagers, Slain Scarlet, put down Mordremoth, and faced off against Gods. I’ve survived magical uprisings, the destruction of Lion’s Arch, sinister plots, and I mentioned the time Lion’s Arch was destroyed, right?
Guild Wars 2 – Diving Into Underwater Combat Changes
My feelings about underwater combat in Guild Wars 2 could always be summed up in a simple statement: It’s the best underwater combat I’ve ever experienced in any MMO, but it is still terrible. There’s a ton of variables which come into play underwater. After all you are literally surrounded by water and the developers must translate the feeling of moving, and fighting, through water well without making the experience feel unbearable. There’s really a narrow margin for success.
Guild Wars 2 – How Heart of Thorns Failed & Path of Fire Succeeded
In Guild Wars 2, we have had two expansions released with accompanying living world content. While opinions may differ on whether Heart of Thorns satiated the player base that clamored for more content, I’m here to make the argument that the content in the jungles of Maguuma made some substantial missteps that were eventually made right by release of the Path of Fire expansion.

Guild Wars 2 – GW2 Has Stolen My Heart
Ever since Guild Wars 2 was released, I have tried countless times for the game just to click with me. I really couldn’t tell you how many times I have tried. Most of the time I admit, it would be my fault. Other games came around and the game just sort of started to collect dust. But then Heart of Thorns clicked with me.
Guild Wars 2 – Rox Rocks
Rox is a deep and interesting character who should be completely relatable to anyone who has ever wanted to find a place where they belong and fit in. Unfortunately, anyone who missed Season One Living Story also missed all the backstory on her which is why she often fails to resonate. Come with me as we explore Rox’s backstory and why she makes the choice to be there for Braham multiple times.

Guild Wars 2 – Know Your Enemy – Praise Joko, the Greatest Villain in Guild Wars 2
Praise Joko! The Dragons are dead! Well, they might as well be. Guild Wars 2 launched in 2012 with the promise of an epic story, wild adventures, and giant world ending dragons. The six prehistoric dragons have always hung over Tyria. But with the close of the latest Living Worlds episode, I wonder if the dragons are really the biggest threat Tyria has to offer, or if the best villains in Guild Wars 2 are neither gods nor monsters.
Guild Wars 2 – Alliances Announced!
Without a doubt, World versus World is one of the least updated aspects of Guild Wars 2. Which is why when Arenanet announced yesterday that they were working on a massive overhaul to the server and population balancing systems of WvW, players went into a hype frenzy! This system will take several months to develop, with no ETA as of yet, but is promising to be the biggest change that WvW has ever received.
