Heroes of the Storm players have a new champion to check out with the arrival of Medivh, a caster with a unique ability that will undoubtedly bring great angst to opponents. In addition, the overhauled version of Ranked Play has entered the game just in time to kick off Season 1. The season will last until August 23rd.

Medhv will be heading to the Nexus soon and will be shaking the game to its foundation. With Medihv present, teams will have access to a raven form that allows him to zoom all over the map and become invincible in the process. This allows for scouting ability far above that of stealth characters and gives him a chance to harass teams trying to capture points and so on.

The Heroes of the Storm team is ready to celebrate the MOBA’s first anniversary with some nice boosts and rewards for players who take part in a special birthday event. Beginning June 2nd, players logging into HotS will enjoy an extra +50% to XP games that will continue through June 14th. In addition, those logging in will be treated to a first anniversary portrait.

Last week Blizzard revealed its two latest playable characters for Heroes of the Storm and announced some major upcoming changes to their ranking system. We had a chance to sit down with Production Director, Kaeo Milker to find out more about the process that goes into selecting new heroes and what inspired the major overhaul to their ranking system.

Chromie, a member of the Bronze Dragonflight, will be joining the Nexus when she enters Heroes of the Storm. In a new video from Blizzard, the team gives a bit of her backstory as well as a look at her abilities. Check it out!

Heroes of the Storm is getting ready to revamp their ranking system and introduce two new and very unique characters to their universe.

Trace, the newest playable character in the Heroes of the Storm Nexus, will be introduced to the nerf bat later this week as devs feel that she’s just a bit too overpowered on just about every front in the game. As a result, her health will be lowered, as well as a reduction to her basic attack.

Heroes of the Storm fans will want to check out this weekend’s tournament action during the North American Summer Regional event scheduled for May 6-7 from Dreamhack Austin. All matches will be broadcast live as the teams compete for the $100,000 prize package. The winning team will be headed to the Summer Global Championship during DreamHack Summer from June 18-20 and try for a share of the $500,000 prize pool.

With the launch of Overwatch on track for May, Blizzard has sent Tracer into Heroes of the Storm. Tracer is a high speed assassin and her abilities center around those traits. Blizzard has released a pair of videos, one to show off her abilities and one that reveals a bit of lore about Tracer as well as a hint of another Overwatch character who might be headed to the Nexus soon.

The Heroes of the Storm page has been updated with a look at the new legendary skin for Azmodan. Called ‘Azmodunk’, the skin features themed abilities, a themed mount and a special themed voice over pack.
