The first Legends of Aria developer update has been published and, while brief, it does offer a bit of information about upcoming additions to the game as well as an explanation for the release date change for Steam Early Access. At the moment, the release date sits at January 18th. However, this may change. The letter states, “We only did this because the date was looming & we have not settled on a final date for the ‘real’ Steam Store launch” but that more info will be forthcoming.
While Legends of Aria Early Access Begins Tomorrow, Steam Launch Pushed to 2019
The Legends of Aria site has been updated to let players know that Early Access is ready to roll for tomorrow, Tuesday, December 4th but that the Steam launch is being delayed to 2019. The post informs the community that the Steam delay is to provide more time for the team to ramp up its team. In addition, developers need time to develop and test data synchronization fixes and the team needs a bread from the 12 hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week development cycle.

Legends of Aria Opens Pre-Orders Ahead of December 4th Steam EA Release
Legends of Aria is finally coming to Steam Early Access after four years since the game was first announced! The announcement was made on the official site and reveals that the game will be available starting on December 4th. Fans are invited to pre-order the game prior to December 3rd in order to receive a 7-day head start — a handy thing if someone might want to claim a plot of land to build a home on.
Legends of Aria – The Road to Early Access Begins with Stress Tests, Events & a Period of Darkness
The Legends of Aria site has been updated with a new developer diary that lays out the road ahead as the game prepares to move to Steam Early Access sometime in October. In order to ensure that LoA is in ship-shape for Early Access, at least one stress test and a “Permadeath Mod Event” are planned for August. Then in September, the plan is to bring the servers down to address community feedback with regard to loot, memory leaks, client stability and to complete vital systems.
Legends of Aria – Closed Beta 2 is a GO – So Begins the ‘Ramp Up to Early Access’
Closed Beta 2 is officially a go in Legends of Aria. Servers have been wiped and everyone is off to a new start as they explore new territory, the new map system, the updated graphics and much more. Testers will be integral in providing feedback “to prioritize [developers’] efforts in Open Beta”. The goal is to bring about Open Beta testing towards the end of August or in early September. In the meantime, “thousands of trial keys” will be provided to help stress test servers.

Legends of Aria – Guild Beta Applications Now Open
Legends of Aria is ready to open up a new beta opportunity that is specifically tailored to guilds. Guild leaders will receive “a bunch of keys” that will allow members to access the game for three weeks. “Guild Beta Testers are promising to report bugs, and submit feedback via the guild leader three times, once a week for the duration of the test.”

Legends of Aria has been updated with a new “monster patch” that brings a bevy of big changes to the game. Most notably, current players will notice a laundry list of changes to combat. loot, crafting and the world. In addition, fast travel is now part of the game and a number of taming updates have been deployed.
