Everyone has a fighting chance
The Lord of the Rings Online is closing one of its Legendary Servers, Ithil, on June 15th, Standing Stone Games announced today. Characters will be able to be transferred to any server they wish, including the other Legendary Server, Anor, for free until December 31st.
The Lord of the Rings Online’s Bullroarer server has been spun up to start testing Update 30, and with it the next raid in the MMORPG. This 12-player raid, called Fall of Khazad-dûm is slated be tested this week, with the first test happening today.
This is fast approaching, but if you’re still running a PC using Windows XP, and are also a Lord of the Rings Online or Dungeons & Dragons Online player, you’ll need to look into upgrading your OS in the near future to continue adventuring in either MMO.
MMO in-game events are one major way to drum up community interaction as well as make things interesting every few months. Events themselves can come and go at predictable times, mostly repeating themselves year over year. And Bradford has never really been able to get into them.

It’s been a busy weekend for Lord of the Rings-themed MMORPGS. The Lord of the Rings Online is celebrating its 14th Anniversary with Anniversary celebrations, as well as releasing Update 29.5, its Further Adventures content to both the Live and Legendary servers.
Amazon and Leyou canceling their upcoming Lord of the Rings MMORPG is unsurprising, but it is a bit depressing. However, it does make Bradford wonder what could have been, from both a pure MMO standpoint and as a die-hard Lord of the Rings fan.
LotRO’s first class to release since 2014’s Beorning, the Brawler is getting some details thanks to new datamined leaks in the Middle-earth set MMO. The Brawler, which we all pretty much knew was going to be a hand-to-hand combat specialist, is broken down in a recent YouTube video from LotRO YouTuber Louey7.
It looks like The Lord of the Rings Online is on track to see a new zone hit the MMO next week, as the upcoming Update 29, also known as Wildwood, is "on track" to release next week.
