The mission is “Drack’s Missing Scouts” and takes place on Firebase Paradox, a Kett base surrounding Remnant artifacts. Players can either send strike teams out on the mission or take part directly from within the game.

With Mass Effect Andromeda just around the corner, Bioware has released information about a brand new app to keep multiplayers in touch with the game even when not logged in. Called Apex HQ, the app will keep track of progression through characters unlocked, loadout per character, items and rewards earned and much more. The app will use the same log in as the game and gives you a chance to see how your multiplayer progress stacks up compared to folks on your friends list.

Mass Effect: Andromeda – Strike Teams Can Complete Missions for Player Rewards
In Mass Effect Andromeda, during the single player campaign, the player character, Ryder, will come across missions that can be completed in multiplayer with friends or random players. But what about the dedicated single player? Well, it turns out if someone would rather, they can send out a ‘strike team’ of NPCs to complete the mission in lieu of participating in multiplayer. There are even missions that can only be completed by strike teams as well.

The primary objective of the Andromeda Initiative is to find “golden worlds” for colonization in Mass Effect Andromeda. In the final ‘training’ video, players take a tour of these inhabitable worlds. If you have watched all six videos (this one included), you will earn a helmet when MEA launches on March 21st. You must watch them on the Andromeda Initiative site while signed in to your Origin account to qualify.

In a quick Twitter post, Bioware’s Fernando Melo has revealed a new Mass Effect Andromeda screenshot showing a Mission interface and loot box. According to Melo, missions are completed cooperatively and tie both single- and multi-player activities together. Completing the mission will yield loot boxes as well.

The latest Mass Effect Andromeda video in the ongoing Gameplay Series has been unleashed, this time focused on exploration in the forthcoming title. You’ll get a first hand look at the Nomad, the Mako-like ground vehicle, that can be upgraded in a number of ways. In addition, Bioware devs speak about over a hundred planets that lay in space to be discovered with “a handful” that can be explored on the ground. Lastly, exploration also includes finding and populating “forward stations”.
