The Camelot Unchained alpha did not begin as expected, despite the best efforts of the development team throughout the weekend. In a lengthy letter to the Camelot Unchained community, Mark Jacobs promised the community remuneration in the form of free subscription days, CSE points and Founder’s Points. Jacobs further informed fans that alpha is likely only to be delayed a short time to solve some pesky client crash issues, though all other systems seemed to be working as intended.

Tactical Simulations Interactive (TSI) has announced its new cross-RPG initiative called "Gateway" that will allow players to transfer characters between supported games. The team is rolling out Gateway with its first RPG called Seven Dragon Saga. As other game developers join the Gateway initiative, players will be allowed to move their favorite characters between games to "continue their relationships" with them.
NetDragon has announced that Conquer Online will be undergoing some ‘drastic changes’ when the v3.0 patch launches. After over a decade in service, devs are working to update core systems including interface graphics, animations, skill effects, body shapes, maps and more.
Heroes & Generals has been updated with a huge new patch that brings the Soviets, the game’s third faction, into the fight. In addition, the update sees new gear, playable characters, maps and gameplay improvements added as well.
Wargaming has announced that the closed beta for its trading card game, World of Tanks Generals, has kicked off as of today, March 2nd. Players will have access to over 200 cards during the beta divided among several nations and types of cards. The closed beta is to give players a chance to learn the basic mechanics and to offer feedback tot he development team.
It’s no secret I’m a fan of ArenaNet’s Guild Wars 2. But, like many of you, I’ve been dying for something meatier to chew on than the Living World for some time now. There seem to be so many features and additions we’ve all be waiting for ages to see added. With Heart of Thorns, the first full expansion to Guild Wars 2, ArenaNet seems poised to offer us all those things and more.
The ESL Operation Victory competition has been cancelled according to a new post on the Star Wars: The Old Republic site. The contest was designed for teams of players to race through operations in an effort to submit the best time to Bioware. However, issues cropped up in the Coratanni encounter that produced issues for those attempting to move through quickly. While tomorrow’s patch will address some of the issues, the team felt that others remained.

The path to the beginning of the Camelot Unchained alpha continues tomorrow, Tuesday, March 3rd. Thanks to MMORPG.com user will75, we know that the team will be on Twitch.tv during a planned stress test of the game servers in an effort to see if improvements to the game client’s stability have been effective. During the event, developers plan contests, chat with the development team and a live look at the work that’s going into getting the Camelot Unchained alpha underway.
