General: Vampyr: A Grim ARPG With Tangible Consequences

One of the more intriguing games I saw at E3 this year was Vampyr, a “semi-open world” action RPG from Dontnod, the developers of Life is Strange. But don’t make the mistake of thinking that Vampyr is going to be full of teenage angst and heart-warming moments of friendship. So far it looks violent, grim, and captivating–despite the fact that I have some pretty big reservations on whether or not it can deliver on everything it promises to.

General: Hands-On with the System Shock Remake Demo

System Shock, one of the most legendary PC action RPGs is getting another shot at greatness with a modern reboot. This week, Night Dive Studios, launched their Kickstarter campaign to fund a complete remake of the game, complete with new assets, new voice over, a brand new score, and all of the polish modern gamers expect in their RPGs. Even better, it came with a free demo to see just what they have in mind.

General: BioShock: The Collection for Consoles & PC Announced

Irrational Games and 2K have announced BioShock: The Collection will be released on Septembe 13, 2016 in the US (September 15th in Australia and September 16th internationally). The remastered versions of all three games in The Collection will be available for PC, XBox One and PlayStation 4.

General: Happy 16th Birthday Diablo II!

It’s hard to believe it’s now nearly two decades (if you go with rounding, that is) since Diablo II was released by Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo II launched on June 29, 2000 with the game’s first expansion, Lord of Destruction, coming a year later. If that doesn’t make you want to get out the Depends and Dentugrip, nothing will.
