Ethan Casner has sent word that he has posted a new, better quality video from Divergence: Year One, a new iteration of Divergence Online that was announced late last week. The new version features a higher framerate to “alleviate concerns because the video capture was slow” on the first video and caused a stir among viewers. Blizzard’s Gamescom 2016 Cosplay Contest Video
During last week’s Gamescom, Blizzard hosted a cosplay contest with the winner receiving a ticket to November’s Blizzcon to take part in the Grand Championship for cosplayers. The contest featured folks dressed as characters from Diablo 3, Starcraft, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. RIC and SkyRiver Studios are ready to unleash SpellGear later today when it officially launches on Steam Early Access. SpellGear is described as a “multiplayer online role-playing game” with an open world, MOBA-like arenas, dungeons and one that features non-targeting game play.

Episodic story-driven RPG Morning Men is being developed by Pixel Federation and the team is excited to announce that its game is headed to Steam Greenlight. Morning Men came to the notice of the Steam community via the Greenlight Concept program and garnered enough votes to rocket straight to the Greenlight development program. Facebook Launches Dedicated PC Gaming Platform
Facebook is unleashing a dedicated PC gaming platform later today that will take the social network into new entertainment realms far beyond Farmville and other oft-mocked games. Developers using the Unity game engine will be able to publish games directly to the Facebook platform with few coding changes using the specially designed tools for integration.
