Neverwinter’s console players have just gotten a new update to play through with today’s arrival of Storm King’s Thunder: Sea of Moving Ice for both XBox One and PlayStation 4. Players can work through the new adventure zone, participate in nautical travel, take part in the more advanced fishing mini-game, go treasure hunting and even assault the frost giant stronghold itself.

The Neverwinter site has been updated with a brief look at some of the features that will be arriving with the next expansion. Players will be returning home from the frozen North and returning to the city itself to attempt to reclaim the River District.

XBox One and PlayStation 4 Neverwinter players will be getting a nice New Year present with the arrival of Storm King’s Thunder on January 17th. Players will find a new adventure zone, nautical travel, the extensive fishing mini-game, artifact weapons, treasure hunting and….giants. Lots of giants.

The holidays are coming to Neverwinter with tomorrow’s arrival of the Festival of Simril. Twilight Tor will play host to all who wish to make merry and to try their hand at the Twilight Run, an exciting sled race criss-crossing the mountains. Ice Fishing will also be available with the chance to collect new lures poles and the ability to buy the Sparkling Starlight Fishing Pole with event currency. Adventurers can also help protect Twilight Tor from invading monsters.

Neverwinter PC players can now head into the game to try out the latest content update applied to the Storm King’s Thunder. Call the Sea of Moving Ice, the content expansion brings a new zone, new quests, new gear and an upgraded fishing mechanic into the game. Console players will be able to get their hands on Sea of Moving Ice in early 2017.

Thrills and chills are seeping into Neverwinter starting on Thursday, October 27th with the arrival of the Masquerade of Liars. During the event which runs through November 2nd, players can take part in a number of daily quests that can yield special currency to purchase masks, dyes and much more.

XBox One and PlayStation 4 players can now take part in the latest Neverwinter content expansion thanks to today’s launch of Storm King’s Thunder for consoles. Players head to Icewind Dale to quest through three new adventure zones and a new dungeon. Today’s launch brings the console version of Neverwinter up to date compared to the PC counterpart.

The latest Neverwinter developer blog has been posted that gives players new information about a level 70 trial that will be coming with the Sea of Moving Ice content expansion to the Storm King’s Thunder campaign. Called Assault on Svardborg, the trial sends players to take on Jarl Storvald and the frost giants to stop them from deploying the Ring of Winter to blanket all of Faerun in snow and ice.
