Cryptic Studios has announced that the Underdark module for Neverwinter will launch for XBox One players on February 9th. Players will be able to check out the Rage of Demons storyline and adventure with classic D&D characters like Drizzt Do’Urden and Bruenor Battlehammer.

A new and very frank note has been posted on the Neverwinter site that delves into a great deal of the history of the Astral Diamond market along with attendant admission that the system has not been scrutinized as regularly, or as thoroughly, as it should have been.

Cryptic Studios has announced the release of the eighth expansion to Neverwinter. Players can now check into the game and journey into the mysterious Underdark, home of the Drow. Players will meet and travel alongside iconic characters including Drizzt Do’Urden, Bruenor Battlehammer and Regis. In addition, they will follow a brand new quest line penned by the legendary R.A. Salvatore.

The Neverwinter developer blog has been updated with a new post by game designer Douglas "Asterdahl" Miller in which he discusses upcoming Masterwork Professions.

XBox One Neverwinter players will want to check into the game for the arrival of the Strongholds module, the largest update yet to the game. Strongholds brings a number of interesting PvP features and guild halls into Neverwinter.

Neverwinter will be expanding on November 17th with the launch of the next module, Underdark. In Underdark, players will descend into the depths of the world and the home of the Drow. Guided by none other than Drizzt Do’Urden, players will experience a quest chain penned by the legendary R.A. Salvatore.

New York Times Best-Selling Author R.A. Salvatore visited Cryptic Studios to discuss his involvement with Neverwinter: Underdark. In an interview alongside Neverwinter’s executive producer, Rob Overmeyer, Salvatore shares details about the characters he created including Drizzt Do’Urden and recounts his experience seeing them come to in the free-to-play MMORPG.

As the time for the release of the Neverwinter module expansion, Underdark, nears, the team is taking the time to introduce players to some of the changes coming with the expansion. A pair of new blog posts have been published, one about changes to Artifact Weapons and the other ti give a thumbnail sketch of the Underdark Campaign, complete with a look at the two new currencies and new boons.

Due out later this fall on the PC, Underdark, is the newest Module for Neverwinter. Underdark is tied in neatly with the current Wizards of the Coast season Rage of Demons.
