Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that Neverwinter on XBox One will be updated with the Strongholds module on Tuesday, November 3rd. Strongholds is the seventh expansion to Neverwinter.

The Neverwinter blog has been updated with a detailed look the Underdark, including detailed maps of the entire location and some new information about the denizens in the home of the Drow and other less…pleasant inhabitants.

The Neverwinter site has been updated with a new developer diary to introduce players to the crew they will be working alongside when the Underdark module goes live. Fans of the works of R.A. Salvatore will be familiar with the names Drizzt Do’Urden, Bruenor Battlehammer, Regis and Thibbledorf Pwent.

Fans of Wizards of the Coast, DnD, Drizzt Do’Urden or any number of other iconic characters will want to check out the latest developer blog post on the Neverwinter site that stars legendary author R.A. Salvatore.

This Fall, Neverwinter players will have a trio of fantastic Wizards of the Coast D&D goodness to experience this fall with a quest line written by RA Salvatore and the chance to adventure alongside two of D&D’s most iconic heroes: Drizzt Do’Urden and Bruenor Battlehammer.

Last week we got the chance to talk with renowned fantasy and D&D author R.A. Salvatore. Salvatore is responsible for some of the best Dungeons and Dragons fiction ever written. He is also the writer who put dark elves on the map with his famous stories about Drizzt Do’Urden. Recently, while finishing up his latest novel, Salvatore took up the chance to write a quest line for Perfect World’s D&D MMO Neverwinter.

The Neverwinter team will be hosting a special live stream Q&A with R.A. Salvatore, author of some of the most iconic books based in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. Neverwinter’s next expansion will be sending players into the Underdark, home of Drizzt Do’Urden. Mr. Salvatore has written an entire quest line that will be featured in the Underdark.

A few weeks ago we had a walkthrough of the new Strongholds expansion for Neverwinter. At that time Executive Producer Rob Overmeyer teased Stronghold Siege. This week we get more in depth on the new PvP feature with Senior Content Designer John Hopler. Read on to find out what John had to say.

The latest Neverwinter update has now been deployed and players can take part in 20v20 PvP battles. These Stronghold Siege battles take place by combining two maps to double the scale and allows teams to destroy an enemy’s stronghold.

Today is a big day for over two million Neverwinter XBox One fans with the release of the Elemental Evil update that brings four expansions, a new class and a new level cap to consoles.
