On the same day as the Amazon games team re-enabled wealth transfers in New World, they posted a blog detailing what the team has done in order to fight dupes and exploiters. However, the community is reporting new dupes.

Amazon is going to be enabling most wealth transfers in New World, after a period of downtime this afternoon. Some exceptions will apply, but the fix comes faster than the first time transfers were disabled.

Amazon has disabled player wealth transfers again after a new gold dupe exploit surfaced recently.

Last week community manager Luxendra responded in a thread asking for server merges with a definitive "they are on the horizon", without giving too many details on how soon players can really expect them. This week, information was provided with the first step in the path to server merges, which is to test a server merge on the Public Test Realm (PTR).

For those who have wanted to eschew the current compass in New World for the more standard mini-map found in most MMOs, New World’s Scot Lane has confirmed the game will allow for third party options to do just that. The game director also explained the reasoning behind the compass currently in-game and why it seems a third-party could produce a mini-map when the developers would need to take longer to do so.

New World is working on cross-region server transfers, and is seeking community feedback on what players want and need from this option.

New World is launching a Public Test Realm, or PTR, and starting tomorrow players can check out some of the first changes, including the addition of a new weapon, the Void Gauntlet.

Now that New World has officially past its initial new game surge, and free server transfers are available for all players, some in the community have requested that, instead of free transfers, New World should begin server merges. The thread went on to speak about the possibility of a server cap increase, and when players might expect such a change to take place.
