For those wondering what Street Fighter V’s recent downtime and update will bring, it seems that we may now have an answer. X-Kira, who previously discovered the game’s expanded stage transitions, has found a new set of Red Bull themed costumes for Ryu and Chun-Li.
If the costumes (which you can see in the gallery below) look familiar, it’s because these were already previously announced at TGS 2016 as part of a collaboration between Capcom and Red Bull. According to the screenshots, the package will be labeled as “Red Bull BC One.” Capcom is collaborating with Red Bull on their annual Red Bull BC One B-Boy competition that will be held this December in Nagoya, Japan; with this in mind, it should be no surprise that Ryu and Chun-Li looked dressed to go to some sort of hip-hop event, rather than doing any sort of actual fighting.
Now, whether or not these costumes are the only thing new added in the version 1.11 update, well we’ll have to wait for an official announcement from Capcom on this. [These outfits–nor any other modes/Shop items–seem to have not appeared immediately post-update; so the official release date is still unknown. – Editor]
After a three-month break, LiangHUBBB is back with episode 96 of his long-running Funny and Cool Moments series. Though the series has been running for over six years now, there are still countless entertaining moments from a variety of both modern and classic fighting game titles on display for your viewing pleasure.
This episode includes clips from Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, Mortal Kombat XL, Street Fighter V, King of Fighters XIV, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- and Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, as well as classic titles, like Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code and Samurai Shodown, just to name a few.
Highlights include Steve hitting Law with his Rage Art, sending him into the sky–before the game freezes up and he never comes down for the K.O., as he’s seemingly doomed to drift through space. We’ve also got some swaggy V-trigger sequences with Ibuki, Urien and R. Mika, who also finds herself seeing stars after literally putting Ryu on a bus in the Bustling Side Street. Another Ryu player falls victim to a bomb-packing Rashid, Shadow Chie shows an unsuspecting Minazuki player the power of “the True Self,” with P4AU Version 2.0’s improved Shadow Frenzy mechanic, Nakoruru misfires her Climax super and a poor Bison player EX Devil Reverses his way into Karin’s Critical Art. In perhaps my favorite clip, Vega ensures that Balrog “won’t see the full 10 count,” by knocking him out of the startup of Gigaton Blow for a narrowly-earned victory, and we even have a Double K.O. from TFC 2016 on everyone’s favorite DOA5LR stage: the Danger Zone.
And what would a Funny and Cool Moments video be without some salty microphone rants from the online realm, with UM Imstilldaddy and Netotigr losing it in moments that are certainly NSFW. We also learn that-even in 2016-with Injustice 2 on the horizon next year, there are some players who still can’t help but rage at Deathstroke in Injustice: Gods Among Us!

With the PlayStation4 update of Chaos Code coming to Japan next month, F K Digital have uploaded their first wave of character trailers, showing off the roster of their anime fighter. F K Digital had released an initial trailer showing off Otagi Hikaru a week or so ago, but they have now released six more character trailers. The roster ranges from hard-hitting cybernetic ninja Kagari, to bearded chef Bravo who uses giant woks and rotisserie chickens as weapons, to the bespectacled Hermes, who seems to use spirits similar to Stands from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to fight. Still no trailers showing off Lupinus and Ray, the two brand new characters for Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe, but I expect F K Digital are putting some footage together of those fighters as you are reading this.

With a new Chaos Code coming in 2017, as announced as this year’s Toushinsai, expect F K Digital to be trying to crack the Western market sometimes in the new year.
Today, in the ever expanding Dragon Ball timeline, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 releases throughout North America for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Bandai Namco also released an interview with internationally acclaimed DJ, Steve Aoki, examining his work in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
Aoki discusses his humble beginnings in anime, including his involvement with an anime club during his college years. The DJ also elaborates on his favorite characters, with Goku being an “obvious” choice, but also praising Gohan for his development in the Cell Saga.
Aoki finds himself extraordinarily humbled to be a part of Dragon Ball history through his music in Xenoverse 2.
“It’s a dream come true,” says Aoki. “How could I tell my fourteen-year-old self, that I would actually have a song in a video game?”
The DJ’s work on Xenoverse 2 includes remixes of Dragon Ball classics like “Cha-La Head-Cha-La” and “We Got Power.” Players can also expect to find Aoki as a non-playable-character within the actual game.

It’s time to defend Dragon Ball history again!
To celebrate Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 even further, Bandai Namco released a launch trailer that showcases everything the epic sequel has to offer.
The launch trailer should prove helpful to those who are still on the fence on whether or not to invest in the title. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will release later in Europe and Steam on October 28. The Japanese version will be sold on November 2.
A season pass is also available for purchase for those looking to get more out of their hyper-fighting game. The pass includes four additional content packs as well as early access to Future Trunks from Dragon Ball Super. Also from Super, Frost and Kyabe have been confirmed as the first two characters to be added to the title through future DLC.
Day One editions give players access to Goku Black, so those wanting to take advantage of the character should pick up their copy as soon as possible!

Amazon Lumberyard, the company’s ground-up proprietary engine, is opening an office in Austin, Texas, long a haven for MMO developers. In a new post on the Amazon Web Services site, the announcement reveals that Austin is a great place for Lumberyard’s continued development to make an engine to “help game developers build the community-driven games that push both engine and cloud technology”.
Killer Instinct has always had some of the best tunes out of any fighting games, and now you can enjoy this season’s killer cuts with the Season Three soundtrack–available to purchase from iTunes and Amazon. The face-melting selection features the character themes for all of the Season 3 cast, including the Shadow Lord Gargos, wielder of the Dragon Spirit Kim Wu, and Locust bruiser General RAAM.
Celldweller and Atlas Plug have been able to measure up to the lofty standard set by previous Killer Instinct composer Mick Gordon, creating some equally memorable tunes to combo break to. One of the first projects targeting the multiplayer online market, Redemption’s Guild, has hit KickStarter in order to raise $33,000 through the crowd funding initiative. Redemption’s Guild is a four-player cooperative game developed natively for both the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift.
CD Projekt Red has announced that Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has officially launched into closed beta testing. PC and XBox One users who were chosen as testers can download the game and begin playing as of today. PlayStation 4 players will be able to join at a later date.
With its official release in North America merely a day away, the hype for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has reached a fever pitch. To keep the train of excitement rolling into the station, Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has continued its series of gameplay trailer releases, focusing on a quartet of combatants from various eras of the Dragon Ball universe.
First up, we have the Masked Saiyan, a warrior who is under the control of the villainous Towa and Mira. With the symbol of the Time Breakers on the forehead of the mask, who debuted in Dragon Ball Online and Dragon Ball Heroes, this evil Saiyan is returning from the first Xenoverse. He also bears a familiar resemblance to a certain legendary Saiyan. You can see him dominating Super Saiyan 3 Goku on the World Martial Arts Tournament stage, with a variety of speedy melee attacks, including his signature “Self-Destruct,” below.
Next up, we have Metal Cooler, making his Xenoverse debut. This alternate form of Frieza’s brother first appeared in the film Return of Cooler and is the result of the tyrant’s remains being forcibly merged with the Big Gete Star, which allowed him to mass-produce a myriad of clones in order to take over New Namek. He possesses versions of the Cooler Supernova as his Ultimate and the Death Laser, shared with his flesh incarnation, as well as a smaller version of the Supernova he can use as a regular Ki Attack. In addition, he has his unique Lock-On Buster, which allows him to fire an invisible beam at his opponent.
We keep things going with Nail, one of the most powerful Warrior-class Namekians, who will also be making his first appearance in Xenoverse, after last being playable in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Raging Blast 2. Using his Mystic Attack, Mystic Flasher and Super Explosive Wave, he looks to get revenge in a rematch with Frieza below.
Finally, Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe provides us with our first look at Future Trunks, who is an Early Access character who comes with the game’s Deluxe Edition. This is a second version of the character, based off of his most recent appearance in the “Future Trunks” arc currently going on in Dragon Ball Super, with blue hair and eyebrows. He will utilize different sword attacks than his Z counterpart, and will also have his own version of the Final Flash, as well as a Double Masenko and a Super Sayian 2 transformation. You can see him deliver some justice to Goku Black below.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today–October 25th–in North America, October 28th in Europe, and November 2nd in Japan. It will also be released worldwide on Steam on October 27th.
American television network Showtime has announced the following five top fight cards that will take place from December to March 2017.
WBA featherweight champion Carl Frampton (23-0, 14 KOs) will meet former three-weight world champion Leo Santa Cruz (32-1-1, 18 KOs) in a rematch on January 28 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Northern Ireland’s Frampton won the title with a points decision over Santa Cruz in a fight of the year candidate in July to become a two-weight world champion.
