Thanks to Capcom Germany, we now have footage of a full playthrough of Ibuki’s story mode from Street Fighter V.

At the start of the video, we see Ibuki having a phone conversation with Sakura. It is the second time the Ryu prodigy has shown her face so far in the game, the other being a brief appearance at the end of Karin’s story. Their dialogue reveals that it was Sakura who helped Ibuki get her job at Kanzuki Estate by setting up an “interview” in the form of a party invite. As the story plays out, we get to see more of Ibuki and Karin’s story alternate costumes as the heiress and kunoichi duke it out in their evening attire.

A second Sakura appearance could imply a character release in future, but at this point nothing is certain. More familiar faces appear in the form of still images as Ibuki reminisces on the warriors she’s crossed paths with during her journey, which you can see by checking out video.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is no stranger to collaborative costume packs. To add to the growing list of such costumes, a recent issue of Weekly Famitsu Magazine has given fans their first look at DOA’s most recent crossover.

This time the characters of Dead or Alive are going to be graced with costumes based on the Fairy Tail anime and manga series.

The magazine stated that the newest batch of DLC will be available sometime this month. There are a ton of characters within the Fairy Tail universe, so it will be interesting to see which ones get the DOA costume treatment.

Fairy Tail was created by Hiro Mashima, who is also the creator of the Rave Master anime and manga series. Fairy Tail is currently being serialized within Weekly Shonen Magazine with a new anime series “in the works.”

“Lipso Saturday Night Fight,” an eSports program in Japan, recently ran an 8-player invitational event for Pokkén Tournament. Airing on the sports/variety station FujiONE, the tournament featured strong players from across Japan, including:

Saku (Shadow Mewtwo), tonosama (Braixen), Shiruo (Charizard), GO1 (Shadow Mewtwo), crowd (Pikachu Libre), Azazel (Machamp), Iibuu (Blaziken), Sako (Gengar)

 

There’s no chaff among these eight (as far as we can see–Saku vs. Tonosama was played off stream before they went live) each fight is an uphill battle for both sides. Of particular note is the down-to-the-wire grand finals, the neck and neck score for which is settled in an explosive finish.

The event, advertised and orchestrated closely with Nintendo as an official event, brought together players and commentators from across the Japanese gaming landscape, including LoL, SFV, and, of course, Pokkén.

While we still don’t have a concrete date for when we can expect to finally get our hands on the console version of Tekken 7, we now know to expect it early next year. We also know that the game will be making its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Bandai Namco offered up the following trailer to go along with the aforementioned announcements, giving us a quick look at the game’s Story Mode, including a sample of how fluid the transitions between cutscenes and combat will be.

In addition to this information, the folks at Bandai Namco announced that Xbox Live Gold members will be able to acquire a free copy of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for Xbox One during the week of E3.

It’s a big day for Xbox at E3, as their press conference began this morning at 9:30 AM PDT (12:30 PM EDT). After announcing a new console and showing off Gears of War 4, the company decided to offer viewers a look at the next guest character for Killer Instinct Season 3, General RAAM.

If you’ve ever played the original Gears of War, this character should be quite familiar, and is certain to prove a formidable foe in this new battlefield.

To celebrate General RAAM’s addition to the cast–he’ll be rolling out as soon as the conference draws to a close–the folks at Iron Galaxy Studios have decided to offer everyone access to the General for a full week. Despite sardonic claims that the game is dead, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is now entering its fifth year at Evo and has become an undeniable mainstay within the fighting game community.
