As we previously reported, Street Fighter V’s new update is now available to download. As such, this has opened the game’s upcoming content to datamining, and NeoGAF user Garrett Hawke spent some time digging through the update to find a few costumes the developers had hidden away.

The gallery below includes everything he’s discovered thus far, which includes a feathery addition to R. Mika’s wrestling wardrobe, body armor for Nash, a couple of…interesting looks for newcomer Alex, and more.

Although the Street Fighter V servers are still down for planned maintenance, players can get ready for the moment they go live by downloading the latest patch right now.

Weighing in at over 6 GB, this update reportedly adds Alex to the character select screen (he still won’t be playable until tomorrow) and other such assets, like his official theme.

After grabbing the update, players can also take part in the new challenge mode. For a taste of what awaits, Karin’s trials are put on display by Keoma in the video below.

While gaming consoles maintain parity between users, bringing a title to PC adds an infinite number of details to the development process. This is especially magnified when it comes to fighting games, where even the slightest dip in performance can mean the difference between winning or losing a close match.

With Killer Instinct just a day from arriving on PC, combat designer Adam “Keits” Heart recently dropped some new information on how ranked play will handle this issue for those worried about online competition. Apparently, jumping into ranked mode will require passing a performance test. If a player’s rig isn’t capable of maintaining 60 frames-per-second, they’ll be forced to make due with casual play in an effort to keep ranked as stable as possible.

Fighting games are typically less user-friendly than other genres, but the Killer Instinct developers have consistently updated their product to mitigate some of this stress. Previous additions include an improved heads-up display that provides more information on various aspects of gameplay and a combo assist mode with a simplified control scheme.

Following up on measures taken last week, Capcom will again be taking the Street Fighter V servers offline for another round of maintenance. This period is expected to last from 10 AM PDT (1 PM EDT, 5 PM GMT) to 5 PM PDT (8 PM EDT, 12 AM GMT).

This news comes ahead of today’s update, which is expected to add challenges, expanded lobbies, a replay option for ranked and casual matches, and various gameplay adjustments to combat the growing presence of option selects. No word has been provided as to when players can expect this update to launch, but it’s looking as if it will land later in the day.

With the arrival of the game’s first downloadable character, Alex, and an early version of the in-game shop scheduled to land tomorrow, this scheduled maintenance is likely an effort to make sure they roll out as smoothly as possible. Keep your eyes on Twitter for future updates.

As you may have already seen, Razer’s Seon-woo “Infiltration” Lee just won the Street Fighter V tournament at NorCal Regionals 2016, his second in as many weeks. But, since the Korean competitor already earned a Capcom Cup spot thanks to his performance at Final Round 19, many are confused as to what happens next. Does the reward drop to the runner-up, Mad Catz’ Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi, as it has in the past?

The system is actually a little more complicated than that this year, but it should save some headaches later on down the road. Capcom’s official ruling reads as follows:

Unlike the new regional leaderboards, which are focused on specific areas of the world, the global leaderboard mentioned in the quote above is comprised of the eleven events Capcom has designated as premier destinations, like Final Round and NorCal Regionals.

Originally, the plan was to pull the eight highest-ranked players, excluding the outright qualifying champions, from this global leaderboard, but nine is the new total thanks Infiltration’s dominating performances. The full breakdown now looks something like this:

• 10 players from Global Premier Events
• 1 player from Evo 2016
• 4 players from Regional Finals (1 from each event)
• 8 players from regional leaderboards (top 2 from each region)
• 9 players from the global leaderboard
