Back in May, Team NINJA held a contest that gave Dead or Alive 5 Last Round fans to design Halloween-themed costumes for the game. Now, with All Hallows Eve just around the corner, the developers have dropped a brand new trailer highlighting the winning outfits.

These costumes will be available for purchase in Japan for ¥191 (~$1.59 USD) each for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and ¥200 (~$1.67 USD) for Xbox One. Meanwhile, the complete bundle will go for ¥2,667 (~$22.26 USD) and ¥3,000 (~$25.04 USD), respectively. Prices for the rest of the world have yet to be announced.

On a related note, Team NINJA have noted that this will be the last costume pack for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, following up on previous statements that downloadable content would eventually bypass older consoles due to hardware limitations.

With all the brouhaha surrounding the reveal of Street Fighter V newcomer Laura Matsuda and Yoshinori Ono’s comments on Alex’s future in the upcoming title, some information was bound to fall through the cracks. One such detail concerned when we should expect to learn the identities of Street Fighter V’s remaining two cast members.

During his presentation at Brazil Game Show, Ono laid out a rough timeline for their future announcements, saying through a translator that the fourth new character will be introduced sometime over the next two months. Looking ahead, Capcom Cup falls well within that window, and as of now that’s the best guess we have to work with.

In addition to the final newcomer, Ono also mentioned that they still have to reveal another returning fighter, but didn’t provide any hints as to when we should expect their unveiling.

Street Fighter V is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC sometime next spring.

Much like they did for Community Effort Orlando 2014, CEO Gaming is giving the community the opportunity to support their upcoming anime-only tournament CEOtaku by purchasing one-of-a-kind apparel.

Fans will be able to pick up a shirt or hoodie feature event mascot Shiyo, designed by creator Joelyn “Shunao” Lai and emblazoned with a limited edition gold foil finish for that extra pop.

CEOtaku is scheduled for October 17-18 in Orlando, Florida. Organized with airdashers in mind, the tournament will feature competition in a number of titles, like Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Persona, Melty Blood, and more, without a Street Fighter in sight. Apart from the excellent weekend of competition in games that have already been released, SoCal Regionals 2015 also played host to a very special Street Fighter V exhibition. Made possible by Capcom, the build on display was the most up-to-date the public has seen thus far, with newer fighters like Zangief and Laura ready to be put to the test by event attendees.

In order to make sure the game was demonstrated by some of the best players around, Capcom chose a group of competitors featuring folks like QANBA’s Xiao Hai and Dakou, Kazunoko, PR Balrog of Evil Geniuses, Winterfox’s 801 Strider, and more to test their early skills in the upcoming game. While the eventual champion stuck with Ryu the whole way, there was a good deal of diversity, with Karin getting time to shine alongside newcomers and veterans alike.

Over the weekend, the team behind the Street Fighter IV Remix mod put the finishing touches on a full release version and set it free for the masses. If this is the first you’re hearing about this project, you should know that the mod brings about plenty of changes to the game as a whole: faster movement, the ability to attack and block right out of a dash, and plenty more. Think the official ‘Omega Mode’ cranked up to eleven.

Apart from general gameplay adjustments, the characters themselves have also seen quite a few changes. After a couple of minutes with Ibuki, I noticed that, for example, her short>forward>roundhouse target combo now launches vertically, she has an EX version of her command run, and her kunai come in much larger groupings.

YUBIKEN has been one of the biggest contributors to the Ultra Street Fighter IV scene as of late. Not only do they produce great videos and regular streams, but they’ve also sent a good number of players abroad to compete.

Now, the Japanese organization wants to fly one of its best players, KichijojiKEN, to the upcoming Street Grand Battle in Lyon, France. Not only does Kichiken want to compete, but he also believes that, if an exhibition match were ever organized between them, he would handily beat Evo 2014 champion Luffy.

Unfortunately, the funds just aren’t there. As such, YUBIKEN is turning to the community for help, and is looking to raise €2,000 for the trip.

If the campaign’s goals are reached, not only will Kichiken fly to France, but YUBIKEN’s “Luffy killer” Super Santarou Man will also tag along in order to give Luffy a chance at a runback after his loss during their exhibition at Evo. However, to earn the chance for the rematch, Luffy must defeat Kichiken first.

But all of this will only happen if YUBIKEN reaches their funding goal. If you feel like helping, you’ll find all the details you need on the campaign page. They sit at €300 at the time of publishing.

We’ve been bombarded with Street Fighter V character releases lately, but that’s far from a bad thing. In the last two weeks we’ve learned everything we could want to know about Zangief as well as Sean’s older sister, Laura. Since these recent character announcements have been so closely timed, no one expected a new reveal during Capcom’s Street Fighter V panel today at New York Comic Con–and rightly so–but that didn’t stop executive producer Yoshinori Ono from taking the stage and doing what he does best.

Speaking through a translator, Ono proudly drew attention to his head, upon which sat a “dizzy hat” outfitted with a pair of spring supported chickens, and confirmed what we already knew: there would be no news coming today. After the crowd finished reacting with varying degrees of heavy sighs, Ono made it a point to go on–slowly, and I mean slowly–and mention Street Fighter III protagonist Alex by name. It seemed that everyone in the room had much the same reaction as I did, wondering, “Did he just say Alex?”

He did, but not in the context that we hoped. He was simply remarking on the undeniable popularity of the character, saying, “I was made very aware of how much you guys want Alex, so I will definitely take that with me to Japan.” While this is far from confirmation that Alex will eventually be playable, it’s good to know that our desire to see him return isn’t falling on deaf ears.

For the time being, we’ll just have to settle for gazing on the background of the New York City stage to get our Alex fix.
