While Blizzard is staying mum on the subject pending tomorrow’s Blizzcon start, GameStop is reporting that Overwatch will not be free to play but will be released on XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC for $60.

Blizzard has unlocked the Overwatch servers so that specially flagged accounts can now download and install the game. There is no NDA so players are allowed to stream and write about their experiences in Blizzard’s first foray into the shooter genre.

In somewhat unexpected news, Blizzard has announced that both the North American and European Overwatch beta event will kick off on Tuesday, October 27th. Originally, the beta start was to be NA only, but Blizzard revealed late last week that the EU version would start simultaneously.

The stream is anticipated to last for ninety minutes and is being hosted by a pair of streamers who will be broadcasting the event for the duration.

Blizzard is revealing the first new Overwatch hero since the originals were unveiled along with the game itself at last year’s Blizzcon. Called "Soldier: 76", he is a highly trained warrior who uses a variety of weapons to make his point.

Tanky Zarya is the latest Overwatch hero to be featured in a nearly ten minute gameplay video from Blizzard. Zarya plays on the defending team in the Temple of Anubis, a Point Capture map located on the enigmatic Giza Plateau.
