Star Trek Online players will get another chance to take part in a Mirror Invasion when it makes its return beginning Thursday, August 25th. The event will run through September 15th. During the Mirror Invasion, players will be able to earn Dilithium, Marks and a special Admiralty Card after completing a new reputation project.

A new developer diary has been released to show off the upcoming console version of Star Trek Online. In the video, Cryptic devs take viewers on a walk through the upgrades and control systems that will be available to both PlayStation 4 and XBox One users when the console versions go live in the near future. Star Trek Online’s latest expansion Agents of Yesterday will begin on July 6th for fans. Players will be able to go back in time with some of the original Star Trek elements from the first TV series.

The Star Trek Online team is busy preparing the game for console release later this year. Part of the preparation includes updating the games graphics in a way that shows vast improvement, but also keep the game viable for lower-end systems. In a new, detailed developer blog on the game’s official site, readers are given insight into how big improvements will be made in very visible, yet low footprint, ways.
