From now through October 31st, Star Trek Online players who log into the game will receive a free Discovery-themed uniform. The uniforms are based on the new CBS series, Star Trek: Discovery. In addition, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation, players will also receive a free Type 7 Shuttle.

Star Trek Online PC players can now log in to take part in Season 14: Emergence. In this new content expansion, LeVar Burton reprises his Star Trek: The Next Generation role as Geordi LaForge. Players will be able to take part in the new featured episode called Melting Pot, as well as a new colony-based Fleet Holding, a Tzenkethi Red Alert, two Fleet Holding defense queues and a new Primary Specialization called Miracle Worker.

The Star Trek Online team is inviting captains to head into the game this weekend for the Koboyashi Maru event. Players will face off against the iconic ship, “the original no-win scenario”, in a limited time challenge. Players will challenge themselves to see how many waves of enemy ships they can hold out against while keeping the Koboyashi Maru in one piece. Both timed and untimed challenges are available. The longer a captain can hold out, the greater the reward.

Star Trek: The Next Generation’s LeVar Burton is reprising his role in Star Trek Online. In Beyond the Nexus, players will pair up with Burton playing Captain Geordi La Forge. He will continue his role into Episode 14: Emergence which is set to launch on October 3rd.

Console starship captains can head into Star Trek Online to begin the rescue of Martok, voiced by the original Deep Space Nine actor J.G. Hertzler. In addition, the Endeavor System and the Ferengi Trade Alliance Admiralty are included in today’s update.

One of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s most well-known stars is joining the voice cast of Star Trek Online. LeVar Burton will be reprising his role as Geordi La Forge and will be featured in two forthcoming episodes. The first will be released on September 12th and will be in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Next Generation. The second will release with Season 14: Emergence coming in October.

Star Trek Online players are being invited in to try out Season 13.5. The team is promising “a ton of revelations and new experiences in the Star Trek Universe”. Among those experiences is the new “Brushfire” Featured Episode that sees the return of JG Hertzler as Martok, the character players are sent to find and rescue.

Star Trek Online Season 13.5 will be arriving in game on July 18th. Players can look forward to a new Featured Episode called “Brushfire” that will be tasked with rescuing Klingon Chancellor Martok who is voiced by the original Deep Space Nine series actor J.G. Hertzler.

Star Trek Online captains are being challenged to defeat the “original no-win scenario” during the Kobayashi Maru Event set to launch on June 29th. Teams of players will face increasingly difficult waves of enemy ships while trying to keep the Kobayashi Maru intact and battle-ready. There are both timed and untimed event scenarios. The longer teams can beats back attacks, the better the reward. Players can earn both Marks and, if surviving long enough, dilithium ore.
