Cryptic Studios has announced the release of Star Trek Online Season 14.5 that wraps up the Tzenkethi War with an epilogue and brings a new featured episode on board. In addition, a new secondary specialization called the Constable and dedicated to peacekeepers like Odo from Deep Space Nine has been added to the Captain Specialization System.
From April 5th through April 12th, Star Trek Online players will be celebrating “First Contact Day”. The event marks the first time humans and Vulcans encountered one another. Players will head off to Bozeman, Montana to construct their own replica of the Phoenix, the first “Human warp-capable ship”.
Star Trek Online will be getting a new expansion in June 2018 for PC players and later for consolers. Called Victory is Life, the expansion is based around the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Players will find a new Jem’Hadar playable faction, six brand new episodes and crew members voiced by the original series stars.
Cryptic Studios has announced that the Breach event will be making a return to Star Trek Online. Starting March 8th and running through March 29th, Captains at level 50+ can team up with four others to try to bring down the Voth City Ship. Each time players are successful, they will earn a Voth Operative Transmission (1x each 20 hours). Once 14 are collected,players can complete a special Reputation project to earn tons of great items.
The Star Trek Online site has been updated with a blog post that reveals how captains can unlock a Tier 6 Lukari Dranuur Scout Ship. To do so, players will need to progress through the Dranuur Colony Main Track to Tier 5 that will unlock the new ship. It can then be purchased from any Ship Vendor with several types of currency including Fleet Credits, Fleet Ship Modules and Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provisioning.

Star Trek Online is turning eight years old, well on its way to a decade of space travel. With 161 episodes, 3 expansions and 14 seasons of gameplay, STO is a success. PC players are invited in to celebrate the anniversary with an event featuring a new featured episode and lots of themed events yielding special rewards. It all kicks off on January 23rd.
The Star Trek Online site has been updated with a new post that lays out the first details for a new system coming to the game called “Re-Engineering”. Under the system, crafters will be able to re-roll certain mods on created items to better fit the build they are aiming for.

Star Trek Online has expanded for both XBox One and PlayStation 4 with the arrival of Season 14 – Emergence. New content allows captains to assist the Lukari and Kentari defending their homeworld against the Tzenkethi. In addition, players will work alongside Geordi La Forge as voiced by Star Trek Next Generation’s LeVar Burton.
