TERA players will be able to check out the new Ninja class with the release of the Secrets & Shadows update on May 17th. In addition, flying mounts will enter the game, two new story-based dungeons and the continuation of the story line that left off at the end of Fate of Arun.

By this time next Tuesday, TERA’s latest update will be upon us. Called Secrets & Shadows, the latest content update for TERA brings the new Elin Ninja class, new dungeons, new story-based quests, and yes… flying mounts. We had a chance to take a peek at the update before it hits the live servers, and came away with these thoughts.

With the next big TERA content upgrade, players will be able to take to the skies thanks to the addition of flying mounts. Players will be able to fly in certain locations in the game including Velika, Val Oriyn, and Highwatch.

For those wanting to release their inner feline, the TERA shop special items will certainly be appealing. From now through May 19th, players can get hold of a number of Hello Kitty – themed outfits and items.

En Masse Entertainment has updated its blog with the news that a limited time Abscess event is slated to kick off later today. During the event, players can take part in a once-per-day activity that can reward gold, TERA Rewards points, tier 9 feedstock, and Dreadnaught ore.

When the TERA update called Secrets & Shadows goes live, players will be able to check out the next class to be added to the game, the Elin Ninja. We had the opportunity to ask a few questions of Senior Producer Eric Han to find out more. See what he had to say in our exclusive interview.

Late last week, rumors began swirling that En Masse Entertainment had entered a round of layoffs, and this week we can confirm via En Masse’s public relations team that some staff reductions have indeed occurred at the TERA publisher.
