The Division development team will be on hand today in a new edition of Special Report in which the next update will be previewed that includes “Incursions”. The event will take place on The Division Twitch.tv channel at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern.

The next update to The Division will be headed to all platforms on Tuesday, March 22nd and will include a number of loot drop improvements, most notably from named NPCs in hard mode who, by the way, will no longer be loot pinatas in the open world for those who have been farming them.

Without providing any details, the first State of the Game letter about The Division teases a new update that will be coming next week. The community team has plans to release more information about the patch in the coming days.

Ubisoft Canada has published a new video on its YouTube channel called “The Division: Fall of Canada” that is an effort by the game’s community via a collaborative art platform. It’s a fantastic project and video that is well worth the time to watch. It begs to wonder if this is how stories for further expansion DLC for the game will be created — it’s nice to consider!

I’ve been a bit apprehensive of The Division given all the delays, rumors, and Ubisoft’s not so hot track record. However, after having put some time into the open beta, I decided to roll the dice and take a chance.

Bungie is reporting that The Division broke single-franchise sales records, including those scored by Destiny not all that long ago. The Division racked up $330M in its first week and is also Ubi’s fastest selling game ever.

Sumthing.com has announced that it has released the game soundtrack from Tom Clancy’s The Division. Fans can get hold of a digital version via Sumthing’s site or purchase a physical CD of the music on March 22nd.

The Ubisoft forums have a short note about yesterday’s update to The Division. Of particular note is the fix to the laptop queue that many players encountered since launch.
