If all goes according to plan, Trion’s Trove will be launching sometime in 2015. Trove Game Director Andrew "Avarem" Krausnick has written a brand new letter that also lets players know that the team has every intention of releasing wind (flying!), water (swimming!) and ‘earthy’ effect alongside more building materials to expand the ones already in the game.

Trove players have a winter wonderland to play in with the arrival of Snowfest. Players will find mystery boxes filled with seasonal loot and be able to complete high-level Shadow Arenas. The special event has started and will end on January 5th.

The first time I logged into Trove I didn’t get it. After getting through character creation I quickly found myself going into a lowbie area meant for levels 1-3. As soon as I got there I was lost. There were no instructions, people were scattered all over the map and I had no idea where to start. I ran around the map for a few hours trying to work out what to and mining anything that looked interesting that was in my path. Needless to say I didn’t accomplish much that first time.

Trove fans have a new playable class today with the arrival of the Candy Barbarian. These dual-wielding sword users utilize the power of sugar to fuel their skills.

Trion Worlds has sent word that the Trove open beta will officially begin on Tuesday, November 5th. Players can look forward to starting the game as Knight, Gunslinger, Fae Trickster, or a Neon Ninja, Dracolyte. The team also added that the Candy Barbarian will be coming to Trove soon.

Trion has announced that it will be hosting a free Trove weekend from Friday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. PDT / 2:00 p.m. EDT through Monday, October 27th at 11:00 a.m. PDT / 2:00 p.m. EDT.
