Injustice 2 Intercontinental Championship Australia results and replays

As the 2018 Injustice 2 Pro Series continues towards the endgame, one mysterious dark cloud continued to hang over the heads of competitors and fans alike: a mysterious European Program that would determine one of the 16 spots in October’s IPS Finals, that until recently had remained a question mark on the Tour. Earlier this month, the curtain was finally lifted on the proceedings — which to the delight of many more fighters outside of the United States, will encompass several more countries as the Injustice 2 Intercontinental Championship.

The first of four Qualifying online tournaments was held this past weekend, specifically for warriors in Australia and New Zealand. In the end, 18 players battled to determine which two would go on to represent the Land Down Under in the final 8-player IC Championship Finals in Vienna, Austria on October 7th, to decide the undisputed Intercontinental Champion, who will qualify for the IPS Finals later that month.

TV New Zealand interviews Street Fighter V player and family man Mighty Ape|WaZa

Recently we featured the work of New Zealand’s state owned TV network “TVNZ”, which featured an interview with local Street Fighter V:Arcade Edition prodigy GhostChips. This, it turns out, is part of a larger series highlighting the best players of the New Zealand scene, leading up to the Red Bull Kumite NZ 2018 Qualifier.

In that light, it would be impossible for TVNZ to miss an interview with Mighty Ape’s Jarret “WaZa” Rameka. Sponsored by New Zealand’s largest online retailer, WaZa is a streamer and family man that somehow manages to also balance being one of the country’s top stars — and a lightning rod for a New Zealand vs. Australia Street Fighter rivalry. He exploded into recognition by defeating Perfect Legend in Battle Arena Melbourne 7‘s Ultra Street Fighter IV tournament, and if he has his way at the Kumite, that’ll just be one more footnote on his resume.

The Red Bull Kumite NZ 2018 Qualifier will be held September 22nd, 2018.

SoulCalibur VI’s various game modes are highlighted in a new trailer from Bandai Namco

How on the heels of the confirmation that Cervantes is in the game, Bandai Namco has released yet another trailer for SoulCalibur VI.

The new trailer, which can be seen below, highlights the various game modes that are in SoulCalibur VI. These include the now ubiquitous arcade, training, and versus modes. In addition to this we also get a look at the Create-A-Soul mode, as well as the game’s two more in-depth single player story modes.

The first of these “Story – Soul Chronicle” goes over the events of the original SoulCalibur, and includes a story for each of the existing cast. On the other hand, the other story mode, “Story – Libra of Soul”, is a separate story mode for characters players have created in Create-A-Soul mode.

SoulCalibur VI launches on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 19.
