TrueUnderDawgGaming has some balance suggestions for Bardock in Dragon Ball FighterZ

If you are active in the Dragon Ball FighterZ competitive scene, there’s no doubt that you’ve ran into some trouble when facing a Bardock main. The father of Goku has quickly become a force to be reckoned with since his March release date, so much so that some are wondering if he should be nerfed in Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s upcoming balance patch.

In their latest video, TrueUnderDawg gaming zeroes in on some of the moves that have many believing that Bardock is the strongest character in his game. Check it out below to see if Bardock should take it down a notch or if his opponents should just “git gud”.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is the focus of this recent episode of “Did You Know Gaming?”

If you’re familiar with Did You Know Gaming? series, you know that the series likes to take a closer look at games — and details about them — that many players may not know. For their latest episode, the series takes a look at none other than the hit Dragon Ball FighterZ.

This episode of Did You Know Gaming? in particular takes interest in how its subject came to be in the first place. This includes Arc System Works’ previous work on other Dragon Ball games, as well as the people behind it.

Along the way, we actually get some translated excerpts from director Junya Motomura and producer Tomoko Hiroki, including details on how Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s art style is actually not exactly like that of the old show — rather, something that’s made to look more like how fans probably remember the show looked like in their heads!

Learn Korean Backdash stick techniques with Cutcc’s KBD guide for Tekken 7

In Feburary 2017, I did my best to write the most thorough practice guide available for absolute beginners to learn Tekken 7‘s Korean Backdash. In hindsight, there are things certainly things I missed in regards to the way different sticks read inputs, and I recognize that some people simply learn with visual aids better than they do with a step-by-step written guide. Both of these weaknesses are corrected in cutcc‘s excellent Korean Backdash Guide below:

cutcc‘s guide also demonstrates various hand positions for both 1P and 2P side, and the strengths and weaknesses for each. If you still feel a little rusty on your KBD or just want to learn something new about how different sticks solve the ‘KBD’ problem, this is a great video to jump into.

How to deal with Dragon Punch and assist pressure in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle

There’s a lot of creative strategies and setups in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle to inflict maximum pain on the opposing team. But one that seems fairly prevalent is the simultaneous usage of a Dragon Punch with an assist. This becomes a strong offensive wall that’s difficult to defend against. For one, DPs in the game are air-unblockable, leading to (at least prorated somewhat) combos. Secondly, the team that uses this technique may often retain an advantage and keep pressuring.

KhaosMuffins made an informative video regarding this technique. He shows how Yu and Waldstein can work together and keep the opponent in blockstun. Depending on the timing of the pushblock, you can mess up their strategy; the video shows several different applications. If you have the meter, you can punish them with a Distortion Drive. KhaosMuffins changes things up by showing what happens when Yang and Es work together, as Yang’s DP has a lot less recovery. It’s also different when punishing projectile-based assists, like Tager’s or Jin’s.

The situations vary greatly depending on timing, but there usually is some kind of opening, which varies by which characters you’re using. Examine the possibilities with the video below:
