Well, maybe that’s a little dramatic, but Jack-7 is very strong, and at intermediate levels in particular, many players seem unsure how to defend themselves against his strong, simple, and effective poke style. But one man stands in the way of this robot army:

She’s a green-haired psycho who hungers for battle.

Nicalis has dropped yet another Blade Strangers character trailer; this time, they focus on one of the characters created specifically for the game. The somewhat psychotic Lina is accompanied by her cybernetic partner Devian (no, not the operating system). In practice, the latter acts somewhat like the “wings” of the Murakamo units from the BlazBlue games, allowing Lina to slash and poke at her opponents from long range.

With this, only Master T and Solange — both from Code of Princess EX — have yet to receive individual character trailers. Nicalis is releasing Blade Strangers for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC sometime this Summer.

After a look back at the origins of Street Fighter itself in their prior retrospective video, Capcom now turns its attention to the groundbreaking sequel/prequel series, Street Fighter Alpha. James Chen returns to walk us through this showcase of what each new Alpha title brought to the franchise — in style, story, and gameplay mechanics.

Of course, we’ll be playing these games again when Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection arrives on May 29th! Now that the Street Fighter II and Alpha series have been shown off in retrospective videos, expect to see Street Fighter III further stretch Street Fighter’s horizons in the near future.

ARIKA has dropped yet another gameplay video for their upcoming Fighting EX Layer. This new video showcases 12 minutes of matches, between a number of the game’s cast.

The video starts with a match between mustachioed Indian grappler Darun Mister and the young Chuck Norris-inspired Allen Snider. After this however, the matches move on to the four characters representing the Mizugami clan (the focus of much of the previous game’s story). First up, Hokuto and Kairi, the original pair of Mizugami, face off against each other. After which Hokuto’s alter ego Shirase takes on her little sister Sanane.

Fighting EX Layer hits PlayStation 4 later this coming June.

These warriors have fought the Void in the Hollow Night.

Arc System Works has shared yet another trailer for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. This time, the trailer focuses on those cast members who hail from Ecole Software and French Bread’s groundbreaking fighting series, Under Night In-Birth.

Veterans of this franchise are probably already familiar with Hyde, Linne, Waldstein, Gordeau, Carmine, Orie, and Vatista. However, for anyone who’s planning to pick up BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle without any prior Under Night experience, this video serves as a short introduction to each of these characters.

Additionally, we get to see some of their characters interactions with the characters from other franchises in the game. Check out the trailer below.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC on May 31 in Japan, June 5 in North America, and June 22 in Europe.

Recently, the sky pirate Love Heart was confirmed for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. Now, SNK has dropped a new trailer for the game that gives us a better glimpse of her in action.

The main focus of this new trailer — aside from Love Heart — is an extended look at some of the character customization options. As part of this, we get glimpses of Love Heart’s costumes — including a policewoman costume, as well as a ridiculous-looking cowboy costume, compete with mustache.

Aside from this, it also showcases some of the game’s other features, while also giving us some more footage of Sylvie and Zarena, who were announced earlier this month.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy launches for PlayStation 4 and Switch on September 6 in Japan, and September 7 in the West.

The furor of Akuma’s addition to the Tekken 7 roster seems to have died down a little bit. It’s not so much that Akuma has stopped being a damage-dealing powerhouse, though, so much as it is the community at large has grown accustomed to his strengths and weaknesses.
