Damage output and reversal mechanics are explored in these Sailor Moon S videos

A large wealth of information about Sailor Moon S has been coming out recently, and we have seen even more mechanics discussions surfacing. These are very pertinent for players, as they are mechanics that are very common in all fighting games, but handled differently in Sailor Moon.

First, we see Koushun tackle reversal mechanics in the game. Unlike most games, reversals can only be performed when you are either knocked down or reset. He also goes over the differences between normal back and forward dashes, and their reversal variants.

Secondly, he discusses damage output mechanics, which are far more complex. Not only do you have to deal with normal and counter-hit damage, but there is also face damage. This occurs when you hit a separate hurtbox assigned to your opponent’s head, and can also be combined with counter-hit damage to deal massive amounts of damage.

Dragon Ball FighterZ character roundup: What we’ve seen so far for Beerus

Our own Tournament of Power still has a lot of time left! Keep practicing!

We’ve seen a lot of tech videos for Dragon Ball FighterZ come through our tipline, covering everything from team-building strategy, fundamental game mechanics, and combo after combo after combo, from throughout the game’s cast! Since the roundups were put together based on what came in when, not sorted by character, we’re re-compiling them by fighter to make it easier to find something for your individual team members.

This time, let’s look at what we’ve seen so far for Beerus!

Sword shows off his own 3-meter 7k combo with the God of Destruction.

Beerus has been one of the least-submitted characters here at SRK and, based off what I’ve seen both here and beyond, I’m not sure why. He has big damage, wild okizeme, and the most smug face this side of West City.

Sukairefurai has some setplay concepts for the God of Destruction.

ApertureBlack has two different examples of the mix-up power of Beerus’s 236S.

As always, thanks to all content creators out there, and everyone that sent in tip! Keep an eye on Shoryuken for future DBFZ roundups!

If you were looking for a rowdy character to blow people up with in the early days of DBFZ, you should see TGN Anime‘s guide to “Goku Blue.”

rooflemonger put a lot of time into Nappa during the beta, and has some information on how his toolset works:

Every Nappa combo video that shows off multi-saibaman plants in one combo is worth watching. Thanks, Persona Entertainment!

Want to use the mix-up potential of the Saibamen? TGN Anime has a great breakdown of Nappa’s movelist just for you!

Dragon Ball FighterZ roundup: More touches-of-death, anti-sparking strategies, and more!

Will Dragon Ball FighterZ content ever slow down? Or will the tech just keep going even further beyond? Judging by the never-ending submissions to the SRK inbox, it certainly seems closer to the latter. Let’s see what the community put together today!

datHazy starts us off with a Gohan/Goku Black/Goku touch-of-death combo.

BlaQNYC Vids gives an excellent breakdown on what to look for when trying to kill a Sparking opponent.

@NYoption keeps pumping out higher and higher damage and meter build with Krillin every time he sends something in.

Persona Entertainment shows off a touch-of-death by way of Golden Frieza.

GFAnBi shares a tricky Cell-Gotenks restand with us.

The hardworking rooflemonger shares some tricks with Kid Buu, and combos for Nappa.

COMBONAUTS continues their cast-wide combo exhibition series, including loops from Kid Buu, Krillin, and more.

And closing us out, sikshot gaming shows us optimal responses for when you block various Future Trunks moves.

As always, if you see anything worth sharing, let us know by submitting a tip for our next roundup. Thanks everyone!

See Shadowgeist, Blair and Jack in these Fighting EX Layer character trailers

Following ARIKA’s livestream yesterday where they revealed their target release date for Fighting EX Layer, the studio have released two new character trailers — showing off Blair Dame, Jack (formerly known as Cracker Jack) and Shadowgeist.

While Blair looks quite similar to her Street Fighter EX/Fighting Layer incarnation, Jack has seen a major redesign, presumably to avoid any legal trouble with the famous snack food. Rather than a Vegas bouncer, Jack’s new look has him dressed as a rodeo cowboy, complete with spurs, ten-gallon hat and a lasso. He’s still got his trusty baseball bat though, bringing the old girl to bear for one of his supers.

As for the vigilante Shadowgeist, he’s retained his tokusatsu-esque costume, complete with cape and Minus Energy power belt. Like fellow superhero Skullomania, Shadowgeist has retained his Raging Demon-esque super, the Death Dream. At the end of his trailer, two silhouettes can be seen behind him, relating to the two remaining characters that will join Fighting EX Layer‘s launch roster. With one silhouette wielding a staff and the other a rifle of some kind, these two fighters may be Nanase and Sharon from Street Fighter EX 2.

Dragon Ball FighterZ character roundup: What we’ve seen so far for Captain Ginyu

This time, let’s look at what we’ve seen so far for Captain Ginyu!

Few have pushed the combos and setups of pre-launch DBFZ the way Clayton “Final Showdown” Chapman has. If you really want to see the full extent of combo possibilities at the moment, these are a great place to start:

These Ginyu mid-screen setups are particularly impressive for the way they still set up Ginyu’s Force without assists.

TGN Anime shows off the moveset of Captain Ginyu (and the Ginyu Force!).

rooflemonger explains the properties of Captain Ginyu’s Ginyu Force.

Ninja demonstrates a powerful glitch involving the meter consumption of Ginyu’s Milky Cannon DHC.

Brian Kasugano has a new and extensive combo video featuring stuff for SSJ Vegeta, Krillin, Frieza, Ginyu, SSGSS Goku, and Piccolo.

Get your squad ready, because everyone on the team is involved in ArcBueno‘s Ginyu combo video.

“Dante Must Die” in this Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite community combo video

Those following Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite at Winter Brawl may have gotten a glimpse of a combo video called “Dante Must Die,” shown just before top 8. The video is a project led by former Shoryuken staffer Joseph “Wolverine Master” Quashie, and is a spiritual follow-up to a series of combo videos for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 called “Wesker Must Die.”

Now, for those who either missed the video (or simply want to see it again) Wolverine Master has uploaded it onto his YouTube channel.

The video below features the work of Josh360, Hi I’m Nasty, Ketsui, YoungBlood, BabaGhanoush, Dr. Snaketits, Mosh, Shadowed Fate, and of course, Wolverine Master himself. As the title states, it focuses on combos that can kill Dante (or any character with 9,000 life) by taking advantage of the increased damage and other properties of the Power Stone’s Infinity Storm.

In addition to this, they also tease a future follow up video, this time focusing on the Time Stone.
