This video covers options for Ryu, Chun-Li, Alex, Ken, Ibuki, Balrog, and R. Mika. Just like before, many of these rely on having EX meter or V-Trigger stocked, although there’s some particularly brutal meterless options in here, too. For example, Ibuki’s teleport dash and Ryu’s Mind’s Eye can both take advantage of the special cancel window to negate ‘Gief’s flex.
Combo videos usually come in one of two flavors: informative, or flashy. Persona Entertainment‘s latest video for The King of Fighters XIV’s Iori Yagami has a little bit of both–but on the whole leans much more heavily towards the impractical latter.
And that’s why it’s great. You probably don’t need me to tell you that whiffing three bars worth of super intentionally is not ideal in the long run for tournament play. But it’s a great way to show off, and that’s a good way to summarize the vast majority of this video’s tricky content.
As you will find out on June 2nd, it’s not just enough to get your opponent to the wall with your juggles. You also need to pay attention to how you get them to the wall.
Since you cannot Screw Attack off the wall, you need to find other ways to pump out big damage off the wall. Once you learn positioning in your juggles, a big way to do that is by purposely launch your opponent high onto the wall, allowing you to get more hits and bigger damage.

Street Fighter’s greatest are heading to Paris for Red Bull’s big invitational throwdown!
Red Bull Kumite is almost upon us! Coming to Salle Wagram in Paris, France on May 27 & 28, the invitational Street Fighter V tournament will feature many of the best and brightest competitors. A last-chance 256-player qualifier is being held on the 27th; otherwise, the following players are confirmed for the lineup:

The CPT Interview Series’ camera focuses on another fighter at Battle Arena Melbourne 9: post the event, the Capcom Fighters team spoke to Verloren, who’s the runner-up in Street Fighter V. Verloren opens up about his matches, explaining that a few small mistakes held him back in his matches against RB|Bonchan. Also, Verloren talks about how he got into fighting games. When he was 18 years old, he started with The King of Fighters, before discovering the Street Fighter scene. Verloren makes a confident promise to everybody: that if he loses to someone, he’ll do whatever it takes to win. Also, there’s that one character he hates…

It’s not every day you get to report on a new Dreamcast port here at SRK.
Breakers, the Visco/SNK prequel to the FGC cult hit Breakers Revenge will be getting a port to a port to the Sega Dreamcast–thanks to French Publisher JoshProd. This unusual port even has a pre-order option through Play-Asia for about $40 USD.
This indie affair is pretty fitting for a game who’s lifespan is largely extended by the likes of the online PC community. The game will officially–well, as officially as this release can be considered–release on Play-Asia on June 9th.
Joining the likes of Street Fighter, Injustice, Killer Instinct and The King of Fighters, Tekken is getting its own world circuit with the release of Tekken 7. In a partnership between Bandai Namco and Twitch, the Tekken World Tour will see players from all over the world competing for a share of a $200,000 prize pool and the title of King of the Iron Fist.
There are three regions for the Tekken World Tour–the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific–all with their own region-locked leaderboards. Each region will have its own selection of Master and Challenger events, which will see players competing for prizes and points on their region’s leaderboard. There will also be open-bracket online events, where players will battle against fighters from their own region for Ranking points.
Evo 2017 will act as the biggest Master event of the World Tour, with the winner automatically winning a place in the World Finals in November. There will also be special Regional tournaments, which will grant players the highest amount of Ranking Points, along with bonus prize money. As with Master and Challenger events, these Regional events will only give points to players from that region.
The World Tour will culminate in the World Finals, where five players from each region and the Evo champ will battle it out for the King of the Iron Fist crown. The first Americas Master event will be CEO in June, so get practicing to get your name up on that leaderboard.
Following its announcement earlier this year, PQube and Digital Crafter have released another trailer for the mythological fighting game, Fight of Gods. This trailer introduces four new gods, and shows off more in-game footage of these deities slugging it out.
From Greek and Norse myth, Athena and Sif are joining the fray, with Anubis representing the Egyptians and Guan Gong fighting for Chinese Taoism. We still don’t see a whole lot of each fighter, but we do get a glimpse of Anubis’ ability to summon sarcophagi from the ground and Guan Gong’s paintbrush slashes. Athena and Sif’s designs are fairly basic, with Athena looking less like the Greek goddess of wisdom and more like your standard hoplite soldier.
Fight of Gods will be playable at MCM Comic Con in London this weekend, so head over to PQube’s booth if you want to try out this “godlike” fighter. It is set to launch on Steam later this year.
