Sketchfab, a 3D and VR content publishing platform, recently hosted a World of Warcraft modeling contest. Designs are based around the recently released Legion expansion and over 50 entries were received. The top 3 contest leaders and several honorable mentions have been showcased on the Sketchfab site.

The World of Warcraft team has put up an interesting infographic about the pre-event that ran for three weeks prior to the launch of Legion earlier this week. WoW players took part in 155 million Demon Invasions, 2.5 million invasions were repelled, 3.9M Demon Hunters were created and so on.

The launch times for the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion have been posted on the community site for North America, Latin America and Australia/New Zealand. North America will see Legion go live at 12:00 am Pacific / 3:00 am Eastern on Tuesday, August 30th.

World of Warcraft – Plan Ahead for Dungeoneering & Raiding
The World of Warcraft team has released the dungeon and raid schedule for the months following Legion’s release. The Normal and Heroic versions of all dungeons will be open from August 30th, Legion’s launch day, with Mythic versions coming along the next week after reset.
Azeroth Army Forges a Warglaive
World of Warcraft: Legion will be arriving on the wings of Demon Hunters in less than two weeks. The signature weapon for Demon Hunters is a warglaive similar to those carried by Illidan himself. In a new Azeroth Armory, Hollywood blacksmith Tony Swatton forges a warglaive that any Demon Hunter would be proud to carry. Check it out!
Karazhan Returning as a 5-Player Dungeon in Patch 7.1
During Gamescom, the World of Warcraft team confirmed that Karazhan will be returning to the game in patch 7.1. Karazhan will be a 5-player dungeon that wraps up the Stormheim location in the Broken Isles, the central location of the Legion expansion.

Blizzard Entertainment is prepping youngsters for the imminent arrival of its World of Warcraft-themed novels. The first book is called Traveler penned by Greg Weisman and ready for release on October 25th.
